Blame yourself?

Hey, take it easy Scat. You don't want to wait until the facts are out to make a judgement about someone. No sense in bringing the truth into the argument.

Did she mention the paternity suit she filed against a company exec and lost?

Do you have a source such a suit existed? Are you sure it's not confused about the paternity suit filed by the father of Bialek's child in 1999?

That's how Scat rolls.

More hilarity. One of the accusers has filed more than one workplace harassment suit and in fact demanded all sorts of compensation. When declined she dropped the suit.

Two different people remember it differently; no evidence is offered on the real story.

Hermain Cain is quickly becoming a disaster.

If the dude can't be trusted to be loyal to his wife, professional to his employees, and open with voters today, what makes you think he'll keep his campaign promises, act professionally in one of the most powerful and influential positions in the world, and be open with the American people tomorrow?

Hermain, it was nice knowing you. Go back to making pizza, talking about how much harder of a worker you are than everyone else, and harassing women and then later blaming everything on the liberal media and racists.

The GOP needs to face facts. Perry is a jerk, Bachmann is too stupid, Cain is a jackass, the only legit chance of beating Obama is with a good ol "Mitt." Even though he's probably the least favorite among the GOP's radical evangelical deep southern base. He's basically the only chance they got at winning.

Given the choice between a Mormon liberal disguised as a conservative, and a Democrat, which one do you think evangelical (white) southerns are going to vote for?

You do realize that presidents have their own traveling harem, right? Politicians will never be moral leaders.

So is it your stance that any politician running for offices needs to publish a manifesto with every and all past indiscretions, controversies, infidelities, and fibs the instant they file to run? Why didn't Obama just put the whole (incredibly stupid) "birther" issue to bed with a handout at his first election rally of his actual birth certificate? Why didn't Clinton hand out a 300 page document of all the women he had harrassed/slept with before the 1992 election? Fact is people (mostly idiots, imo) bring this **** up just to derail a compaign and/or get media attention.

I didn't care that Clinton potentially had harrassment in his past or that he likely slept with tons of women outside his marriage. I didn't really care about Obama's birth certificate. I really don't care about what Cain did 20 years ago (especially because I don't like him as a candidate anyway). Unless it is a crime that is still within the statute of limitations (e.g. hiding a murder or something) and needs to be resolved by the courts, just let the stupid **** go, and consider candidates for what they can do for the country now, not for what they may or may not have done 20 years ago.

With the exception of the birth certificate "issue" (Obama has released his certificate twice), I agree with LogGrad98. The notion that a man would make his female subordinates so uncomfortable that they would file complaints has nothing at all to do with whether they are capable of leading a large bureaucracy full of men and women.

Anybody that has the potential to give the green light for thermonukes should be vetted fully and unceasingly, both large matter and small. If there is a trail of blocked records or tampered records in your past, you shouldn't be president. If you have shady connections, you shouldn't be president.

The Department of Homeland Security should be sending the results of Obama's stool sample tests to our phones, Internet streams, tvs, etc. instead of trying to scare us.

I don't know about you but if I got that kind of **** over my phone, it would scare me.

No one needs a "polished manifesto."

And why you bring up Obama's birth certificate is beyond me. For someone that claims so much that they're independent, they sure do bring up so many (radical) right wing mindless talking points, like Obama's birth certificate

I just feel like leaders should be professional, honest, treat women with respect, and be loyal to their companions. Cain is none of that. I apologize that you don't believe that our leaders should have any integrity.

I believe they do. In fact, it's necessary. You don't have to have the same standards that I do. But the rest of us moderate and independent voters may very well find that honesty and integrity are necessities.

Do as you wish. I await your next barrage of right wing mantra, like perhaps Obama isn't really an American, but a Muslim! Or that his pastor is a Nazi. Or that he studied under a terrorist. LOL....

Give me a ****ing break and go back to your gingerbread house.

All I did was bring up some of the so-called "controversies" from elections past as examples of things idiots dig up or create out of nothing to derail campaigns.

Did you even read what I wrote about the birther thing? Here it is again:

the whole (incredibly stupid) "birther" issue

Obviously you did not, so you just jumped straight to your mindless party dogma. If you want to read more into the brief examples I brought up as garbage issues raised by idiots, knock yourself out.

You are the one who made a big deal out of an issue that Cain did not raise himself. I simply wondered if you felt every politician should always come clean. Do you? Should they all confess all of their foibles at the start of the election? Can you answer without your venemous hatred of all things the tiniest bit non-left blinding you from actually reading what someone else writes?

Oh and where in the world did you come up with Obama being a Muslim? Why would you think that? I thought you liked Obama. Talk about seriously stretching to build a straw man. Wow.

Did you not read my post?

Instead of always looking for ways to bash others, actually read!

Is it really that hard? Or are you trying to remember the 3 gov agencies to cut?

Let me ask this question to everyone....

If you had your own small business and needed to hire 1 person to work for you and do all your work and that person interviewed looked like it was a good fit BUT said "well I had a few run in's with sexually harrassing and assulting women years ago BUT it only happened once"..... would you hire that person?

OR

If you ran a background check on that same person and all the sudden it became knowledge to you when that person wasn't up front with you... would you hire that person?

Just think about those questions........

Where did I say our leaders should not have any integrity? All I said was that an issue 20-years dead should have no bearing on a current election, unless it is an issue that still needs to be decided by the courts. I also wondered if you held democrats to the same "kill them all" standard you are holding Cain to. You answered only that Cain was not professional, honest nor treated women with respect. Nothing in there about holding dems to the same standard. You are very one-sided on almost every issue.

Just curous, but why do you 1) instantly assume everyone not as venemously left as you are automatically Rush Limbaugh and 2) approach everything with such bitter hostility?

And how exactly did I bash you in my last post? You are the one who accused me of thinking Obama is a muslim. You are the one who accused me of being Rick Perry somehow. I have made no such claims about you in such a snide fashion.

As someone who does hire people in sort of that regard, I can say that it depends on the situation. Was it fully resolved? Was the person acquitted or found guilty? Did they do time? In most background checks performed, even by the federal government, they consider convictions, not accusations. If the person could show that they were accused but that it was resolved with no conviction and shown to be without cause, then why would they be disqualified due to an unfounded accusation?

Note to Thriller, don't get your panties in a bunch. I am not saying that Cain's accusations are automatically unfounded. I am answering hypothetically a hypothetical question. I don't like Cain anyway, so I really don't care if he can prove his innocence or not, as I am not voting for him.

The accusations years ago were found to be baseless. There were no so called "settlements" for the baseless accusations, but negotiations for termination of employment.
The current "Gloria Allred" accuser has no credibility.

Herman Cain is a good man and after reading his book I am more convinced that he would make a great leader. He has great ideas, common sense, and a good sense of humor.

There were no so called "settlements" for the baseless accusations, but negotiations for termination of employment.

Like I said before, I don't care if Hermain Cain harrassed the ladies 15-20 years ago. If I made a list of 100 reasons Herman Cain is a poor choice this wouldn't even be up for consideration.

All that said, it's absolutely the wrong tack to take to claim that the payments made weren't settlements. If you want to fire someone, you fire them. You don't "negotiate for the termination of employement" and then give them a year's pay for no reason. Random staffers dont' have those kind of contractual guarantees. You also don't negotiate NDAs relevant to the issue of sexual harrassment with people that you just want to fire.

I'm more than willing to accept that these may be "he said, she said" situations with differing perspectives, but those were undeniably legal settlements. Trying to claim otherwise just confirms you're in the tank for one side.
