Ha. Good luck with that. I do love the language there... I would like a report to come out saying the lakers brass has communicated to his agent "hahahahahahaaaaahahaha LOLZ"
 
The Schröder thing makes me think of Carlos "I'm gonna get paid regardless" Boozer. Situation's completely different but that was the first thing that came to mind.
 
One of the main things I do this summer is....

Re-sign Mike Conley and trade Clarkson
OR
Sign & Trade Conley (if he wants to leave) and keep Clarkson.

Just like I felt last year, I think we need defense more than we do Conley AND Clarkson. That's why I'd trade Clarkson if we can re-sign Conley and vice versa. Do one of these trades in order to improve our defense and/or stretch 4/5 options.
 
Mike's wife just posted this on Instagram on her latest IG pic caption:

"Good morning! Just a few days left here in Utah and there is still so much I want to do and so many people I want to see. one more hike in the mountains is definitely at the top of my "before I leave" list! Lots of packing to do, I can't forget my new clothes and new jewelry like @llumejewelry coin necklace I just got!

Idk, like that may not mean he's gone for sure, but it doesn't sound like a "I'll be back again in a few months" kinda posts. I know I know, don't pay attention to social media.

If you're not going to come back, why would you be worried about "forgetting new clothes and new jewelry"? Do people typically leave those when they leave permanently, or is that the kind of stuff you forget to pack for vacation?

Jordan Clarkson deals are difficult to do... while saving some money. I've tried a couple... Only one I really like is Melton for JC and I don't think the Grizz do it.

We just have so many assets in order to improve on defense. If we bring back Conley and Clarkson, that leaves a Favors trade, a Bojan trade or multiple players willing to take a pay cut in order to improve our lackluster defense.

I would rather sign and trade Conley, but Conley is the better player. And Clarkson's value is at an all time high. I feel they are a little redundant with Don. 3 offensive shoot first players who are average defenders? Really?

Let me rephrase that. I want zero part in trading Clarkson for salary relief. I would move him in a deal for Lonzo though.

Oh, I only trade Clarkson for value that addresses different need areas on the roster. I wouldn't trade him to simply save money.
 
Some of the moves I'd make if I were the Jazz FO:
• Acquire DeMar DeRozan via S&T for Bojan and Matt Thomas
• Resign Mike Conley
• Sign Otto Porter Jr using our MLE
• Sign Kris Dunn/Justice Winslow to vet minimum deals
• Target JT Thor or Trey Murphy at #30
• Buy a 2nd round pick and target Jared Butler
• Dump Favors contract

PG - Conley | Dunn | Butler
SG - Mitchell | Clarkson
SF - DeRozan | Ingles | Winslow
PF - O'Neale | Porter | Thor
C - Gobert | Udoka
