When was the last major story in the media about Cuban and the NBA?Cuban faded out? In what way?
The difference in his presence in the media and how vocal he was with the NBA in general and his team in particular is clear. He was borderline rabid. How much have you heard from him since they won a ring? Sure he still owns it, of course he's involved, but it's obvious to even the most casual observer that his intensity in regards to this particular hobby is greatly diminished.I don't know about him moving on... sounds like he is very much still involved. Donnie was there a long time because he didn't mind Cuban pulling the puppet strings.
The huge sexual harassments case. When was the last major story in the media about Cuban and the NBA?
Maybe... I think they got tired of covering it. I think he's still really involved... maybe not as passionate as he once was. I've been to a few Mavs road games and he was still in attendance (in the Bay Area so may have had other stuff to do).The difference in his presence in the media and how vocal he was with the NBA in general and his team in particular is clear. Cuban accepting Dogecoin at the AA Center. When was the last major story in the media about Cuban and the NBA?
All of that is possible but I still think the timing was telling. He was crazy involved then they won a ring then he pulled back. I think he is still obviously the owner, obviously involved, obviously cares, but also obviously isn't as driven to get every edge he can to win it again. There are degrees to this and it's funny when so many people can't fathom nuance. It isn't all or nothing but there was a definite drop-off in intensity. It's like the first time a teenager has sex. They do everything in their power to get it done, but afterwards they still want it, opportunistically get it when they can, seek it out, and all that, but the level of obsession definitely drops a few notches.Maybe... I think he may have also made a conscious choice to at least make it look like he's pulled back in part because of the **** storm that went on there. Would look pretty damning if he was super involved with all that BS going on.
This latter part is exactly how I (and probably everyone) here feels about a title. I’ve never experienced my team win it all and I’ve been at this foreplay too long. I’m really looking forward to that refractory period. All of that is possible but I still think the timing was telling. He was crazy involved then they won a ring then he pulled back. I've got them Larry O Blue Balls. Can't wait to put my weiner in that trophy. This latter part is exactly how I (and probably everyone) here feels about a title. I’ve never experienced my team win it all and I’ve been at this foreplay too long. I’m really looking forward to that refractory period.
Ryan might be able to market and sell that experience to offset luxury tax costs.I've got them Larry O Blue Balls. Can't wait to put my weiner in that trophy.
$500 gets you alone with the trophy for 5 minutes... what you do is up to you but here are some sanitary wipes.Ryan might be able to market and sell that experience to offset luxury tax costs.
of course there ain't no greasefire when there's hardly any competition.I see your point, but one of the things the bench needs to do is not be a greasefire when they are playing. Either they tread water or outscore the other's bench a little and be pleasant to have around. You can have an uber talented bench that eventually erupts into flames because of all the alpha personalities. The year after Stockton and Malone left, Sloan got a bunch of rag tag players and came within a game of making the playoffs. The secret was they played hard, played decent D, boxed out and knocked down shots when left open. Where is Ben Handlogten when we need him?
