That would be the Hoopshype story of about 125 nba vets looking for work in January or February. Names like Korver, RHJ, Ian Clark, Mudiay, Dwayne Dedmon.of course there ain't no greasefire when there's hardly any competition.
Quite the opposite to your argument, i'd say our min guys are currently having the best time in the entire league right now compared to other teams counterparts.
Because they are making NBA min salary without having to actually play like one.
Like i've said before, Miye Oni, Forrest, Morgan, Thomas. These are the guys that probably won't even make it to other teams 15 men roster. And collecting a paycheck of 1.5mil/year is better than not having a paycheck at all. Especially you are making these money without actually having to play any meaningful basketball.
Austin Rivers, by comparison, played his heart out for the Nuggets in the playoffs. Averaging 30min a game for them. And you know what his salary is? 270k. That's 1/6 of the money that Oni is currently making, who hardly played for us all season. So I bet Rivers does not enjoy his situation one bit cuz he had to work his *** off to earn every penny.
If we do the math here, for every min that Morgan's played for us this season, he's making roughly 10k off of it.
And Ersan's making roughly 8k/min on the Jazz.
Doke? He's making 30k/min.
So you tell me, why would there be any greasefire when those guys just collecting paychecks left and right without having to work for it?
We could've so easily spent those money on guys who could actually play in that Clippers series. That's the sad part.
I bet there are similar power struggles and tensions in every organization.Jeez. What a train wreck. Are the Knicks a better run franchise currently?
If you want a good paying job with minimum work hours, just come to Utah. That would be the Hoopshype story of about 125 nba vets looking for work in January or February. Names like Korver, RHJ, Ian Clark, Mudiay, Dwayne Dedmon.
I waited 37 years to see my beloved Red Sox win a World Series and the Boston fans waited 86 years. I was in Boston the night they won and I can tell you it was the best sports night of my life. Even better than when Stockton hit the shot. I have been a Jazz fan since they can to Utah. If my math is correct it has been 42 years and I am getting tired and older. I knew in 1998 when the Jazz got screwed that series might have been their best and last chance. I hoped not but as a fan all I ask is that the organization does whatever they can to put the best team on the court.I've got them Larry O Blue Balls. Can't wait to put my weiner in that trophy.
You went up in my book bro. Another Red Sox fan here as well. My family is from Boston so it was a religion growing up. My grandfather would tell me about Ted Williams growing up. How he would go to war during the season, how he was a man's man. I wish I could have been in Boston during that series. My extended family was, and they were in tears. Lets hope, we don't have to wait that long for the Jazz.I waited 37 years to see my beloved Red Sox win a World Series and the Boston fans waited 86 years. This year I thought they had their best chance but the injuries hurt them along with staying pat. I started to see some cracks after the all-star break and was extremely disappointed to only acquire Matt Thomas. I understand you want familiarity with your team but sometimes you have to look at your team objectively and fix the weaknesses. I thought they were going to address them when they talked about getting longer more athletic wing players instead they brought back Favors, signed JC, drafted another center and rolled the dice again. I am hoping new front office guys will bring a needed organization change with a little less loyalty and more acquiring of talent.
