Jazz Offseason Plan

I still don't understand the Kuzma hate. If the choice is lose Conley for nothing or get Kuzma, you clearly take Kuzma. Our depth and lack of youth are issues. It's illogical not to want another quality player.

We could then look to trade Bogey for help at PG. Bogdon? Sign and Trade for Lonzo? Rozier? Bledsoe and draft assets?

Agreed. Even if you don’t like Kuz, he could pretty easily be converted into an asset.

This sort of thing will never happen though. It’s just not how the Jazz operate. We will overpay and keep Conley, or will lose Conley for nothing.

I’m just not sure he’s a tremendously positive asset. Say we keep him and he struggles? Not gonna have a lot of people lining up to trade for him.

Lakers will want to work with us and so would Mike. They need the money off their books and Mike would want more than MLE.

I tend to agree about Kuz as a player, but I could be talked into keeping him too. I’m saying if you don’t like him, flip him this summer for an asset or another player.

It would be smart for the Jazz to have a trade lined up as a backup plan. You pitch Conley on re-signing in Utah, he says “thanks, but no thanks.” Then you say “well, in that case, I have exciting news for you — how would you like to play for the Lakers?”

No, you just lose Conley and dont send him to the Lakers. If the goal is to win a championship, Conley on the Lakers hurt the Jazz's chances way more than Kuzma on the Jazz helps their chances.

Kuzma is a young guy with a chip on his shoulder now. He had a fantastic start to his career then got kind of blindsided by the LeBron show. I'm a LeBron guy, but tell me how he is supposed to fit when you have LeBron and AD while AD refuses to be the center?

He needs a fresh start. Kuzma for Conley makes since if Conley is indeed trying to go to LA. If Kuzma's value is as low as some of you think, then we should be getting solid assets with the deal as well.

The conversation was that Conley wanted the Lakers. If he wants it that badly, he can go and we get nothing.

Getting Kuzma and making the Lakers pay more is better than Conley just going for nothing

Bojan is only six months younger than Love and his numbers are down from last season. We should look to trade him this offseason before his value goes down any further.

His numbers are down because there’s only one ball to go around and we had a lot of dudes who could score.

This is a dumb conversation. Even by Lopo standards. No team should welcome Kevin Love. And certainly not the Jazz.
