It means that is their exact and onliest target and they don't want anybody bogarting him before they can get him.

If he's not available they will draft a project big with prototypical size to stash in the g-league for a half a decade before giving someone a couple seconds to take him off their hands.

Well consensus last year was Doke could have been had at maybe even 40 or later, so it's a pretty jazz pick.

But back to the Doke pick (and Favors signing): the only scenario that begins to make sense to me is the Jazz were loading up as a hedge to if the Gobert extension talks went south.

I think Vrenz actually has fringe All Star potential. Everything would have to go right for him and he'd have to be in the right situation, but his shooting touch and passing vision are legit. Another possible outcome for him could be Nic Batum.
