2021 NBA Draft Preview (new thread)

It doesn't look like JT Thor or Roko Prkacin are getting Green Room invites....at least not yet. The implication would be that they're not expected to go top 20.

Another guard who could be in play at #30 is Deuce McBride. He's a long, aggressive defender who can spot up off the ball. There's just a whole bunch of 1st-round caliber guards in this draft.

I haven't heard if Jared Butler has been medically cleared to play, btw. He reportedly has some kind of a heart condition that kept him out of the Combine. That's a pretty serious red flag that could cause him to fall or drop out of the draft entirely.
I haven’t either… he’s played with it for three years… if he had no red flags he’s a lotto pick. Gotta risk it if you want the biscuit.

My subscription to The Athletic recently expired. One of the Knicks' writers is suggesting that the Jazz are open to trading Derrick Favors. Not sure if the Knicks are a potential destination or not. See if it's implied in the article.

This is a complete nothing burger. He basically says they could be looking to trade Favs… no detail no conviction just kinda mentions it in passing.

I don’t have a top 30 list and I’m guessing most of you know these players better than I do. But I mentioned it before and I’ll mention it again: 3 players who intrigue me are Scottie Barnes, Davion Mitchell, and Keon Johnson.

JT Thor isn't on green room list? I bet he'll be in the crowds during draft day. I see him going to the Rockets with one of their picks in the 1st rd.

Looking at all these promising prospects, I'm going to be very disappointed if we just dump our pick in order to dump a contract to save money.

Watched some Ayayi highlights given Tony’s nod that we like him, and would be pretty disappointing if he’s the pick. Very much a below the rim player. Can shoot the three. Good college player

Don’t think he’s an NBA athlete and don’t think he’ll stick in the NBA.
