I’m ready for Locke to talk about how great a deal it was to trade Favs and 30 to Charlotte for 56/57… they got the guys they wanted anyway.

Gonna be interesting. Hopefully something good shakes loose rather than something ******.
Bro, the guy we select at 56 was the guy we were going to take at 30. He was top 5 on our big board and we pay him less, as we saw last year how important it is to pay a little less on your draft pick to duck the tax.

While we're at it:

- I can't see OKC keeping all six of their picks (you can only draft and stash so many INTL peeps)
- I think the Pels will package some of their 2nd's to move up
- Nobody's talking about it, but Brooklyn has four picks with no cap space and would probably love to shuffle some of those 2nd's into future picks

I keep thinking we can do something with OKC but they also seem to win every effing deal... there are already reports they might be able to move Kemba for additional draft stuff... he hasn't played a game yet and they are increasing his value.

More likely than not. Only reason they haven't pulled the trigger yet is to avoid the same mistake they made last year. They would probably stand pat till around pick #25ish or so and evaluate the situation.

Unless someone the Jazz really like fall to #30, they'd probably just trade out of the first round (either for salary dump or for more second round picks) then settle with their safety picks in late second like they've done in the past.

That just barely reminded me that we jettisoned #23 last year to them for #27 and #38 and they turned around and sold it for #25 and #33.

Thanks Dennis.

That was with NY though.

Trading Bojan, 30 for Knicks 19 and 21 looks good. But I want someone more useful than Knox in return. Like Quickley. Have him grow next to JC for a couple of years then we can maybe trade JC's expiring once Quickley is fully ready to take on that sixth man role.

Alright... here we go... a little three way trade action...

Indiana is said to want a win now guy. So NY wants to move up...

Jazz out: Bojan and #30
Jazz in: Justin Holiday #21 and #32

NY out: 19, 32
NY in: Lamb and #13

Indiana out: Lamb, Holiday, #13
Indiana in: Bojan #30

I think Indiana is most likely to say no of the three teams.

NY isn't going to trade us Quickley at close to that price.

Quickley is still developing as a player and can be extremely frustrating to watch at times. For someone as stubborn as Thib, wouldn't be surprised for him to go against Knicks fan base and trade him for a more polished player like Bogey. Would they give us both #19 and #21 is the concern here IMO.

It's probably more likely they offer neither than that they give us both.
