The Walking Dead

all those military vewhicles requiere a **** load of fuel. mostly in wars. there is support vehicles who supply fuel.
not really a good idea to drive those mil vehicles. now ransacking those vehicles for weapons/grenades/mortars. thats pretty stupid some grenades would be handy

Getting a better arsenal would be stupid? Seriously? Military vehicles like an Abrams do require more fuel. That being said, they are impenetrable by these zombies. It only makes sense to get one and use it for transportation.

ok. and the guys driving the fuel support vehicle are just screwed.

because all the sound the tank makes. it wil surely atrect zombies. so screw the people in the support vehicle.it does have a silent mode which uses more fuel if i'm not mistaken
top speed 45 miles an hour.
fuel capacity 500 gallons while using 0.6 miles per gallon;. not to mention some of those use jet fuel. asuming they could drive it.
and maintance is a bitch. yeah go ahead and rvie a tank in a zombie apocalypse

Here's my problems with the show....

Have we yet heard how this zombie outbreak started? Maybe I missed the explanation.

Rick wakes up, get the all the information about what's going on, and then heads to Atlanta to find his family. He obviously gets stuck in the Abrams and Glenn has to save his life through the radio. Maybe the Abram's is out of fuel or something. It also is probably not some simple thing to operate, but why doesn't he try to use it to crush zombies? Seems like an easy enough solution to his problems. Maybe they can get away with it by using those two possibilities(lack of fuel and or doesn't know how it operates).

My next issue:

Rick leaves his bag of guns on the street when fleeing the zombies... Rick and company want to retrieve these guns yet there is a Ma Deuce nearby that is fully functional and has ammo. Also there are likely other military weapons found around that site and even around the CDC building. What sense does it make to want the bag of weapons he grabbed from the police station? That's not even mentioning how Rick and Glen covered themselves in zombie meat and blood to walk through hordes of zombies on the street? Why not do the same thing and collect weapons?

Why doesn't the group as a whole build a compound in which they are not only safe, but can gather medicine, food, and weapons? They obviously would build such a place where they could find a clean well or two. Not necessarily on Hershel's property. Why did it take them so long to start training some of these people? Personally, I would have built this army sooner and went out into zombie hunting parties. Just my take.

Like any show, I get that you aren't always going to get a logical solution to problems that may come up. I just think this show goes too far in the opposite of logic. Seriously, look at what they and then consider yourself in their shoes. What would you do? This is the main reason that this show to me is becoming bland.

I don't see how any of your ideas are logical, at all.

1. How do you know the Abrams wasn't already out of fuel? If it wasn't, then why did the people who were previously inside it have to leave? Even if it was, Rick probably had no idea to drive it. Driving it would only lead to hordes of zombies following him. He would eventually have to evacuate the vehicle, and the zombies would know were he was.

2. Covering yourself in zombie meat is risky. Any sneeze or cough would make it clear to the zombies you are in fact human.

3. Building a compound sounds easy enough, but the group has been set on moving towards a destination to find others. Building something would be time consuming.

4. How do you train an army when you are constantly moving about? It's not like you can be constantly wasting ammo on target practice when you are actively escaping zombies. Not to mention firing guns probably attracts attention of zombies, something they wouldn't feel safe doing any random place.

5. Zombie hunting parties? Why? There is no possible way they are going to eliminate all the zombies from an area. Attempting to do so would be a waste of time and unnecessary endangerment.

Glenn's sports car with the alarm blaring would cause just as much sound as an Abrams. With your estimates of .6 MPG they would have a range of 300 miles. There would be no need for a support fuel truck if that is accurate. My point still standing, there are military grade weapons on the street and they instead choose to go with the police station weapons.... Very dumb.

1. I said that maybe the Abrams was out of fuel. If it was, then it was a logical explanation. He certainly doesn't know how to drive it. There were hordes of zombies around him already(He should have died realistically) and the Abrams was likely his only option out.

2. They were whispering to each other with zombie juice on. I think that should have been a dead giveaway.

3. They went to the CDC to find their own sanctuary. Jenner pretty much told them the world as far as he knew was dead. Fort Benning was and is a pipe dream. Does it take a lot of work and time to build a compound? Yes. But they certainly can scrounge up the materials to do so and it is by far the best idea and most logical.

4. Right now they are stuck on Hershel's farm waiting for the zombies to get out of the barn. The real question should have been how do you teach these people to shoot when they are limited in ammo. Somehow they did that. This in turn makes you wonder why they didn't stock up on the plethora of weapons outside the CDC. Especially the Ma Deuces at the checkpoints.

5. They need a purpose other than just surviving. Killing off zombies would be a good purpose. I am not saying that should go hand to hand combat on them. I am saying they should find a nice little tower to snipe zombie after zombie. Are there still going to be a world full of zombies? Sure. But not as many in that area.

Overall, this show lacks logic and the only thing worse than that is the personal relationships it continues to try to push. I don't care about Dale and Andrea. She comes off as bitchy to be honest. I don't care about Rick and his wife's possible child. The sub plots are boring. Anyway, I will probably save myself the time and energy and just quit watching it altogether.

Ya it's pretty dumb. I'm the master of suspending logic but this show pushes too far. I need to stop but I love me some zombz.

not saying tehy shouldnt get weapons. just saying the tank is not a good idea. and some of those thanks need jet fuel. good luck with finding 500 gallons of jetfuel every 300 miles orso
