What's new

Now there’s a surprise

Also really surprising he mentions NYC here at 3:25 and not Utah:

(Neither of these things are surprising at all) Also could he be any more of a walking #ad and promoter lol?

Last night I ate at a new Indian place in Lehi (I think it’s technically an American Fork address) called Little India. I noticed it had 4.9 rating on like 50+ reviews. It was good. I’ve gotten all our 5 kids into Indian and this was the first time we ate Indian where that’s what everyone ate and we didn’t make a McDonald’s stop for happy meals for the little kids. Maybe now I’ll make a large amount of it that they’ll all eat with the massive amount of tomatoes my wife yielded this year from the garden.

Mmmm, butter chicken.

What could be a more perfect ending to a summertime meal than easy peach cobbler? Savor the flavors of summer with sliced fresh peaches cooking away with butter and spices. The topping can made from pantry ingredients you have on hand and peaches can easily be substituted with any fruit you have depending on the time of year. The tang of the lemon juice paired with the sweetness of the peaches is perfectly balanced with the crisp topping. Want to make dessert even better? A dollop of fresh whipped cream or cold vanilla ice cream truly makes it the perfect way to end a summer night.

I think @oneye is on to something... I mean last night he was at the world series in Houston... meaning he is likely going to play for Atlanta, Houston... but then he also tweeted about the Mets... so he could still go to NY. If he was really committed to Utah he would have been at the Bees game... he's such a diva... triple A is not good enough for him.

Don will leave at some point, but this obsession with painting him as some evil Machiavellian figure is definitely one of the weirder corners of the internet I've stumbled upon. He's just a basketball player from New York. Basketball players come and go all the time and every single one of them will tell you that their home is their home. oneye wants him to join some kind of cult which is really not helping the Utah perception at all.

Joe Ingles is very clear that he will go back to Australia when his playing career is over. Is he disloyal?

Wow, I cant believe he wanted the team to focus and have unity in their workouts. What a real *** hat.

A beautifully refinished wood deck not only looks great and extends the life of the wood, it also may help improve the real estate value of your home and make it more appealing to potential buyers. The complete refinishing process for a wood deck may involve several individual steps, including:

  • Inspection and repair
  • Cleaning
  • Power washing
  • Sanding
  • Staining/sealing

Not all refinishing projects will include all steps. For example, deck surfaces do not always need to be sanded, and some decks are simply sealed and are not colored with stain. In most cases, however, the stain itself is the sealer, and it includes some pigment to even out the wood's coloring and provides additional protection against sun damage.

In any case, a professional-looking deck refinishing job can be done in a weekend or two and will transform a drab, tired old wood deck into a vibrant beautiful entertainment area ready for a celebration barbecue.

Inspecting, Repairing, and Cleaning Your Deck

The first step in your wood deck refinishing project should be a thorough inspection, looking for any loose surface boards or structural component problems, including rotting or severely split wood. If you do need to replace a damaged or rotten deck board or other components, make the necessary repairs before beginning the overall refinishing project.

The exact approach to cleaning a deck will depend on its current finish and what your goals are for refinishing.

If you have a varnished or painted wood deck and want a stained wood deck, you must first strip the paint or varnish off the deck surface using a chemical stripper. This will be followed by cleaning and sanding before applying a new stain finish. If you are simply painting, however, the process is relatively simple: clean and sand, then repaint.

If your deck is finished with a clear sealer or a transparent or semi-transparent wood stain, then you can just clean the surface with a wood deck cleaner, without bothering with paint stripper. It's recommended that you use an oxygen-based wood cleaner designed to remove mildew stains and graying caused by sun exposure while it cleans the wood of dirt and deposits.
