Agreed. Jefferson's style of play just doesn't seem to allow for a lot of growth from those around him. He has a tough time finding the open man when he is double and triple teamed. If any of you have played with a guy that tries to find his shot despite being double and triple teamed you know how frustrating it is, I am sure the other guys feel the same way.

LoL, yeah, I have. Although, the good thing about Jefferson, is that he's so good at the pump fakes and up-and-unders that he can actually score quite a bit thru double and triple teams. If Jefferson is to stay, then I think a really good player to model would be Hakeem Olajuwon. He has really good footwork. He kept defenses guessing on whether he was going to dish out to shooters or spin and score. The Rockets won the title 2 years in a row when they used the post w/ 4 shooters combo. Jefferson is talented enough that we could actually use that strategy. I just don't know if the Jazz are willing to try that.

The good thing about keeping Millsap, is that he can actually shoot from the outside. We haven't used that ability of his that much because guarding small forwards takes a bit more speed than Millsap has shown. Although, if he watches Rocky III about a hundred times and trains with Carl Weathers (Apollo Creed) then maybe speed won't be an issue anymore. heh

Seriously, I think we're fine to keep them both. I actually think if it came from the Jazz then it's just KOC doing his job and asking "what if?" scenarios. The other possibility is another team wanting one or both and wanted to get the idea floating out there to be mulled over. Guess we'll see pretty soon if we start hearing more rumors about them.

I don't know and neither do you. I do know his trade value was expoenentially higher than his worth. Perhaps they could have traded him in 2004 for a real SG instead of playing Giricek and Fisher when they competed in the conference finals just a few years later.

If I remember right, Chicago offered the 3rd pick for him, which ended up being Ben Gordon.

New Orleans ought to get a better return for Paul than that. Good deal for Utah. A fair price for the Celtics to pay. But it's not a good fit for New Orleans who is trying to rebuild. Both Bell and Allen are at the end of their careers.

If a 3rd team gets involved in a trade with NOR, it would probably throw in an attractive pick or two.

I'm not convinced Rondo isn't a product of having three hall of famers next to him. Plus I don't think he would be happy here, he seems to have an attitude problem, probably from hanging around KG. Just my gut feeling but I think it would be a bad idea.

It's irrelevant to the Jazz becaise he won't end up here, but Rondo doesn't have an attitude problem, per se. He is a hard-working winner and demands more than what is sometimes deemed, healthy, from everyone around him .. can be a negative, but it's not a prima donna thing, it's intensity.

Ask yourself why a contender (or something close to it) and franchise that is almost always on the good side of a fleecing would be desperately trying to trade one of its marquee players. If that doesn't tell you everything you need to know, I don't know what will.

New Orleans has no need for a PF and no one in the league has a need for two over-the-hill guards.
