Trading Joe now would be like shooting Old Yeller. He would have to leave Renae with two young kids including one with autism? Not sure that's where Joe wants to go. (I'm sure they have help, but still...)

I mean strictly speaking of rules. If Joe were traded to a team and bought out, we couldn’t sign him. If he were traded to a team who then traded him again and was bought out, he could be signed. Korver was the example as a policy possibility. There was some real bad blood between Korver and the front office and coaching staff his last time through here. He was available but he had had it with the Jazz. No way was he coming here.
No, Harpring was traded to OKC who waived him. Korver was traded to Memphis, who then traded him to Phoenix, who then waived him.Matt Harpring you mean.
We need more royce oneals!!!
He was awesome again last night. 1-4 from the field for 3 points and a negative 21 for the game. Plus he pretty much shut down the mavs offense as they only scored 116 because they had a star studded team.

I think we just stand pat, cut Oni and poach one of these hardship swing guys that has distinguished himself in replacement play. Stanley Johnson is a guy that could bring some value I believe.I want to keep Royce O'Neale. I just want to reduce some of his minutes. We act like he's Draymond Green sometimes, and he isn't close. There are a dozen or so players who could do what Royce does for the Jazz.

I’d definitely be on board with that. I wonder if Ainge still has the Sorcerer’s hat to work that kind of magic?I could see the Jazz trading Ingles' expiring deal and a conditional pick for Marcus Smart or Josh Richardson. I could also see the Jazz taking a swing at Christian Wood or Jerami Grant.
This year we have won 0 games without Mike. Our offense without Mike has been very dependent on Mitchell heroics. Ingles has mostly looked old. Butler hasn't shown anything yet. It's unpopular, but I would trade Conley. He's having a good year right now and is healthy so his value is high. In the playoffs, we will again have issues with Don, Mike and our lack of other good perimeter defenders.
Jerami Grant to Utah
Simmons to Detroit
Conley, Olynyk, and Detroit picks to Philly
Maybe we add Cory Joseph to the deal too if Detroit doesn't want him.

Obviously you make a great point, I mean I was astounded when I looked at defensive ratings. But with load management and age and that trick hammy he will miss games. And when that happens we suffer. Maybe now is the time to get off him when his price is high. This year we have won 0 games without Mike. Our offense without Mike has been very dependent on Mitchell heroics. I really wish we could be less reliant of Conley at this point, but the fact is we can't let him go.
It's also worth mentioning that Conley has been our best perimeter defender this year.
It's pretty crazy that we had 2 players that deserved the 6MOY award last year, and now both players have been so inconsistent this year.My heart has opened up to the idea that maybe we should trade Ingles. I’m not settled or comfortable in this position, but I’ve worked myself into a space where I could accept this.
From the cold-hearted, 10,000-foot view, Ingles’ and Clarkson’s spots have to be considered the most obvious places for upgrades.
