Quin could have an aneurysm if one of them made a mistake that resulted in JC missing an opportunity to miss a horrific shot attempt. With Spida out why not let Hughes, House and Denzel Valentine have some time? What's the worst that can happen?
Here is a rare shot of Quin showing his play board and thought process when deciding to keep JC/Mitchell/Bogey in the game after they went 1-16Quin could have an aneurysm if one of them made a mistake that resulted in JC missing an opportunity to miss a horrific shot attempt.
The thing is, there are plenty of guys in this league who can give you some points off the bench on inefficient shooting. Just look up Nickeil Alexander Walker, Armoni Brooks, Jaylen Nowell, Jordan Nwora as well as a bunch of other guys you've probably never heard of. Watching these guys highlights will make Clarkson look pedestrian by comparisons. Just give Hughes a couple of more games you can probably put him in that category too. And that is not including Malik Monk, Tim Hardaway Jr, Malik Beasley, Coby White, Tyler Herro and many others who have been putting up numbers off the bench for multiple seasons and will be in the running for SMOY for many years to come.I actually think we’d be better off with Hughes playing ahead of JC. He doesn’t have the ceiling that JC has. But I think the floor is higher. Better defender, consistent 8-12 pts, and a guy who plays within the system.
The biggest difference I see from last year to this year is jingles looks gassed and JC is just bad. If we could unload JC for something, that would be a miracle.
Honestly, this team would be better off with a larger “normal” SG than the 2 chuckers we currently have. I’d love to know what we could get by shopping Spida tbh. Would we be better contenders -Spida and +a better 3-2? Like if we added Harrison Barnes/Grant at the 3 and a Desmon bane like SG, would we be better? I think this could be an interesting debate.
Stars had a game tonight in Salt Lake and it seems to me that Hughes, Butler or EP should have been playing somewhere tonight.Quin was thin at the two tonight. What does he do? Plays 4 players off the bench, and refused to play Elijah and Eric.
What the hell is this?
