We'll know tomorrow when the new schedule comes out. Whatever it is, it will be a grind.
No way The Jazz get by with only 13 contracts - they'll probably have to go the full 15. Which means they have to find 4 more players.
That's bad news for Ronnie Price haters being he will most likely be one of the four.

Not really bad news. I'm jonesing for some jazz basketball. Won't mind getting a game practically everyday. Plus it most likely means some young guys are going to get some minutes. Also kinda hoping we are bad so we can get a piece of the 2012 draft. If we are really good and make the playoffs then that's fine. I just hope we don't end up right in the middle

I think most teams will have to deal with this. IMO initially the good teams will still win and the bad teams will still lose - but when we get into March and April I think that's where you'll see younger teams with fresher legs gain an advantage. Hopefully the Jazz can be one of those teams. The biggest negative for the Jazz will be the limited practice time for a young coach with a young team - and I think you'll see the impact from that early on.
In the 98-99 lockout (which killed the Jazz's best shot for a championship) Utah had to play 3 back-to-back-to-back's that year as well (went 7-2) and this year's 66-game season (running from December 26th - April 26th for most teams) is only 2 games off the pace as the 98-99 season's 50 games in 90 days.
The one good thing is the 2011-12 playoff scheduling should remained unchanged for the most part (starting 1 week later but also ending about 1 week later) - while the 98-99 playoffs was a ridiculous marathon in itself.

Actually it will be a great opportunity to showcase some of our young talent... Nobody would really blame Corbin for it because playing that many games in that short of a period of time is double tough and you don't want to get anybody injured...

Probably, but I think it's ****ty that the season starts during a holiday week and they aren't letting the fans know what the schedules might look like. I would like to know when the Jazz have home games. Not that I'm going, but I'd like to get rid of my tickets ahead of time. Keeping the suspense in July when the season is 3+ months away is one thing. Keeping the suspense in December when the season is 3+ weeks away is ****ty.
