Can We Just Flipping Sign House Please!

I’m not seeing the rationale for not signing House to a two-year minimum deal.

The only thing I can think of is we think we may need his roster spot temporarily in the short term to acquire a player in a trade we will either waive or flip? Hopefully whatever it is we have it all worked out with House and his agent and he is ready to sign as soon as whatever trade there is gets worked out.

We're gonna whiff on House. Dammit.
He signed 3 10-days to play here. If some other team wanted to sign him, they would have done it by now.

Utah gives him a chance to get a fairly easy path to minutes on a playoff team where he has shown some ability to be successful. His agent wants him here and they are willing to wait.

My guess is they're telling House there's interest, but they probably want to get through the deadline first before committing anything further.

And I would wager that House isn't getting beset by tons of deals right now either so I don't think's there a fear of loss - otherwise, they probably would have brought him back already.

I think the Jazz may be waiting to see if they can pick up Josh Richardson or Josh Hart before they commit to House. It wouldn't hurt to sign him to another 10-day either way though.

I think they sign him either way.

Any deal that gets done there will likely be filler attached that can be easily waived to make room for House.

If I'm not mistaken, he's already signed a hardship 10 day and two regular 10 days... he cannot be signed another regular 10...

This is where I am. I wouldn't delay the inevitable if I was the Jazz. I'd actually go the other way and try to get him to sign a two year deal... second year team option... like the Lakers did with Stanley.

Even if he sits on the bench guys with his skillset always seem to find a way on the court. 3 and D wings will find ways to get time.

And while other teams have not signed him doesn't mean they don't have interest. One injury tonight and some team may send him an offer. There is zero upside to waiting other than Ryan saving a few bucks. We will still have an open roster spot... if you needed to create and open roster spot then cut Hughes.

They are playing with their food and there is some downside. They may avoid the downside and be just fine... but **** happens... I won't blame him if he doesn't wait around for us.
