Can We Just Flipping Sign House Please!

Why did we give OKC a second round pick?

My main reason for making my post was I know how much you enjoy disagreeing with me so you are welcome. And, making a basketball decision and doing it in a financially prudent way is not at all the same thing as doing something for financial reasons. Ryan Smith is not afraid of paying the penalty for moves that make us better.

Besides less than a month ago with Oni. And besides sending a lightly protected 1st to dump Favors that will really complicates retooling or rebuilding for the Jazz. But besides those.
Oni was a basketball move made in a financially prudent way. If they thought he was going to contribute he would still be here.

Is House a FA right now? Can we sign him for the rest of the year still? For some reason I thought Sunday (today) was an important date for him.

Maybe Jazz want to make a trade first before signing House for cap purposes
But if he becomes a FA today because we didn’t extend him for the rest of the season then it compels us to make a trade and I’m not seeing any trade that improves is beyond just resigning House. We don’t have the assets to obtain Barnes or Grant and obtaining Smart for Bogey would be a net loss for us. Not sure why fans think Ainge is the Messiah. He’s not Jerry West and the last I remember was him blowing a bunch of assets to create whatever monstrosity Boston was. All I know is it got Stevens canned and Kyrie couldn’t wait to leave.

How long do we have before we must extend House For the season or risk losing him to another team?

Today. His 10 day contract expires today.

Soooo… if another team signs him tomorrow, he’s gone and we cannot match, right?

I mean… LOL. To me, if we aren’t closing on a deal that brings Grant here, then resigning House is a no brainer. Especially with Ingles gone.

He's well worth signing for the vet minimum. My guess is the team might be seeing what the deadline reveals while letting him know that they'd like to give him a two year deal.

That's why I say the Jazz are going to mess this up. It seems to me the housekeeping the Jazz need to do is sign House, move Forrest from a two way to a regular deal and perhaps sign two guys for two way deals. Then they can go play their reindeer games.

Right. Exactly. Why aren’t more posters talking about this? Where are the sports writers? Tony Jones, Ben, and Andy are silent. WTF?
