Can We Just Flipping Sign House Please!

The Jazz can't sign him to another 10 day. For the life of me I don't know why they did not sign him to the now vacant two way contract. They can always be upgraded to a regular deal.

I think he has too many years of service for a two-way. He's also very deserving of an NBA spot. If he would not have committed the unforgivable sin in the NBA of fornication he'd have a spot in someone's rotation (most likely)

When you figure the upside of not doing it is 100% saving a little bit of Ryan's money. And the downside is you have to go sign a different guy (who is available) or make a trade to fill a roster spot or just rely on Hughes to take the minutes... and still have to sign one more guy...

It's just silly. Every dollar you save from him not rendering services is another day a team can swoop in and make an offer. Its also a few dollars he loses... so by all means... take unnecessary risks... when you are playing Hughes 20 minutes a game in the playoffs and it tanks your season please don't play the "no one could have foreseen injury X" card.

I see that Jimmer is coming back from China to be with his pregnant wife. He will be the Jazz savior instead of House.

Theoretically they are waiting for the trade deadline, but since they have two open spots it doesn't make a lot of sense. It could have gone a long way to show confidence in him by signing him earlier.

If we’re worried about money then why not just blow this team up? Because, as presently constructed, they’re not contending anyway. Is House the missing piece?

If we feel like this team is contending then I don’t get why we want to penny pinch on House. If we’re going for broke then go for broke.

There is penny pinching saving millions then there is this kind of penny pinching… this kind of penny pinching shouldn’t be something that happens in any circumstance.

Exactly… are we doing a 1 for 3 trade… if so can we not either sneak Hughes in the deal or waive him? Either way you need House.

Let me tell you a secret… the trade deadline is the excuse they are using to save a few dollars… and after the deadline passes and we disappoint we can announce that we have signed House and that he was the move we wanted to make all along.

The only way to justify this fiasco is that the Jazz are negotiating a multi-team multi player deal and need to have the spot open before waiving or further trading people and then they sign him after the dust clears. Anything short of that requires the torches and pitchforks be brought out.
