The Biden Administration and All Things Politics

Perhaps the issue is affordable housing for where people want to live? I too want to live in San Diego but apparently there's only so much land there and millions of others want to live there too.
Some of it is cultural. People in the US seem to be more averse to sharing walls and more inclined to want yards.

Having a big yard sounds good until you realize that taking care of it kind of sucks.

And having shared walls in apartments, a townhome as well as countless hotels, I can tell you with 100% certainty that sharing a wall isn't great when you can hear everything the neighbors are doing (including each other apparently).

Although it is the Hispanic approval rating that initially caught my eye and is getting reported on, the stat that surprised me even more was Biden's approval among the youngest demographic. Only 21% of voters in the 18-34 demographic approve of Biden. Democrats are in for a world of hurt if the young and the largest block of minority voters overwhelmingly reject what they have to offer. The college-educated Karen vote only gets you so far.

I know trans athletes and CRT are super important to voters, but this seems concerning. JD Vance is running for Senate in Ohio. If he wins the GOP nomination then he’s likely to win the general since Ohio is so red. He’s openly admitting contempt for America’s democracy and says that “the right is waiting for its Caesar.”

Keep this in mind these midterms. If you give Repubs power right now, they’re never going to give it back. You’re not only voting Republican this year, but also for 2024, 2026, 2028, and for the foreseeable future. Give them control of congress and They’re going to install Trump or DeSantis as president no matter what the actual 2024 election results are.

I thought republicans were supposed to be against cancel culture? So now we’re encouraging republicans to use the state to punish companies they disagree with politically? Toe the line or receive a 2x4? That’s exactly what Orban and Putin have done over the last few decades. Is that what we want here?

JD Vance is calling for the federal government to be “purged” and government officials to be replaced with MAGA toadies

This is fascism. What Republicans are doing here by attacking minorities and punishing businesses that advocate for these minorities, is fascism.

Installing political toadies throughout the federal government and kicking out actual experts and expertise is really going to hurt America in this 21st century.

Breathing a little sigh of relief. Not that I'm a particular fan of Macron but I was worried for the future of NATO if Le Pen had been elected.

First, nothing you said even remotely relates to the doctrines of fascism.

Secondly, the "minority" you are referring to are rightfully called "sexual predators". You are upset that sexual predators will have a harder time preying on children because of this new legislation.

Finally, the "punishing businesses" you talk about is really a leveling of the playing field. Disney had a special carve out that exempted them from some taxes and government regulations that other businesses in Florida were subjected to. Now after the legislation has passed, Disney is subject to the exact same conditions as other businesses and that upsets you.

None of that has popular appeal. Facilitating sexual predation of kindergartners in schools and having the government pick winners and losers by favoring certain business via carve-outs is not popular. Democrats are going to get waxed in 2022 and it can't come soon enough.
