Valanciunas is better for playoff basketball because he's actually a threat on offense while being a solid rebounder and post defender.

Could have sworn I said that before but nobody wanted to listen and just wanted to bash NOLA for the Memphis trade.

The bashing was primarily because of the fit with Zion… who doesn’t play basketball anymore. It ended up working out for them because of the wonky pick protections… but almost everyone thought the Lakers would avoid being a bottom 10 team. If Zion is ever healthy I’m not sure what the lineup looks like.

This will always hurt. And it’s always something prominent in my mind many times per game as the ball is walked up.

Also, why do we insist on running against a set defense?

And shortening the clock… those extra 5 seconds we milk are worth the lesser shot I guess.

Haha sure… also a player as limited as Forrest was able to block a minimal role for JB so I’m sure Snyder would have totally given Herb the time over Gay and Paschall.

The more I watch the playoffs I realize how different the jazz are. All other teams are fast/tall/athletic. I think the writing was on the wall last year when Memphis played us tough for the first 4 games and then the Clippers exposed us.
This year we are ice cold and exposed. We may just be the worst team in the playoffs right now since our shots and 3's aren't falling.

Valanciunis fits with anybody because he has an offensive game. Adams is a great rebounder and screen setter, but he clogs the paint. That's why he's not playing for Memphis right now.

I've said this so many times - everybody has to shoot nowadays. It's just reality. Screens aren't as effective as guys who can just take their defender off the dribble.

I wold add that Ja is 2 times more talented than Don and with real champion mentality.. never give up....

Ja plays on a better roster and has had a terrible playoffs until the refs gifted him a chance to win last night.

Championship mentality? The guy hasn't even won a playoff series yet.

Except all those teams won't be better. Progression isn't linear and injuries happen. Players also regress from seasons at times even when young
