Your opinion is the truth?
Not always. There are some topics in this forum which I have been adamant about, and people have ruthlessly come after me over.

- I knew Hayward was leaving
- I knew Favors didn't fit next to Rudy
- I knew the Conley trade was awful
- I know we don't have the players to get the best out of a Rudy system and the time to maximize a Rudy trade is now

I propose trades to address the issues above before many people are ready to admit that I was right about the issues. I'm not some Nostradamus. I'm often wrong. When people around here don't realize the "writing on the wall", they get defensive and lash out at me and use me as a punch line.

Just look now - nobody is coming to Conley's defense. Most people around here would be fine trading him. Last summer, I got roasted for urging us to move on.

- I knew Hayward was leaving
No you didn’t. Obviously there were signs, but that was still an opinion. Only Hayward can say for sure.

Everyone knew that!!
I knew the Conley trade was awful
You thought it would be awful. No one knows that for sure till it plays out.

That’s because it played out. Still didn’t make your opinion fact at the time.

Everyone has opinions get over it.

Roasted by whom? There was a small-to-moderate very vocal contingent who kept pushing the Conley is great narrative (look at the horribly cringey "Conley Haters" thread now). I would dare say most people on this board were against, or at least very wary about, the Conley trade from the get-go and fully supported moving on from him any chance we got.

So many people use this scenario to build their martyr narrative it's just silly.

I represented those sides and people roasted me for it. That's what happened. Not many people were vocal about trading Hayward two years before he left. I was. I wanted to trade Favors well before anybody else. Etc. Etc. There might have been a few people who felt that way on some of these issues, but they weren't on here posting. Probably because they don't want to take the flack I do.

I don't expect apologies, and I'm the furthest thing from Jesus.

You form a stance that's unpopular, and people around here rail you for it. I choose to defend Mitchell which is unpopular. So I take some heat.

Bro you didn’t even start posting until we got Mitchell lmao.

I will take this one on the chin. I choose to be very hopeful about deals we make and at the time I was extremely excited for the Conley deal.

I didn’t think we gave up that much at the time which now looking back it was too much (hindsight is always 20/20). He played great last year and for parts of this year but he was injured last year which was our best chance at a ring in 15 years. This year you could easily say he was our worst player in the playoffs.

In the end I understood going for it and actually loved the deal at the time. It ended up not working out and that happens. I think if anything we learned we should not have a 6’0 guard, a 6’1 guard and a 6’4 guard in our starting line-up. Way too ****ing small.

Jesus effing idiot!! Then why are you crying so much!! Still doesn’t change the fact you are no damn different than anyone else. Hell you instigate Cy as much as he does. I’ve seen countless times you attacking him as much as he does you. You also play with him all the time. And let him attack you. Sometimes I think you like it, then cry foul after the fact. Your not some god damn prophet who’s right all the time. Sometimes you sound that PGAB dude and you can be annoying. You’re not right half as much as you think you are and I’d say over half of jazzfanzers have my same opinion of that. Say your damn peace and shut up if you don’t want people to attack you or you can be like the rest of us and realize you aren’t a victim

By the way, you aren’t the only one who had those opinions, not by a long shot. I’ve had some of those opinions. Some I still do some I don’t anymore.

I don't think it's the unpopular stances in a vacuum that you take heat for. It's the fact that you're very frustrating to debate with.

Off the top of my head, I recall you saying that Gobert was not a star in the OKC series. I pointed out how our defense held them to league worst levels of offense in that series. You attributed that to the whole team, not just Gobert. I pointed out that the team without Gobert in the regular season was bottom 5 on defense in the games Gobert missed and #1 by a mile in the games Gobert played, and you replied with "We're not talking about the regular season.".

When I asked you to explain why you felt Gobert didn't carry our defense in the playoffs when all evidence showed he did in the regular season, you made a strawman argument about me trying to discredit Mitchell when I never even mentioned Mitchell.

That is frustrating. And that is a good representation of how most debates go with you.

Man, read please. I know some people felt the same way.
