Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

I can't do it... I cannot have Russell, Donovan, and JC on this team... I can't.

Haha….that’s how I sorta felt about having Conley-Don-JC-Bogey all on the same team.

If you can find a taker for JC I could stomach it. Russell and Beasley fit the mold of guys who could feasibly grow in value. They won’t deteriorate at the same rate as Conley-Bogey-JC.

Geez, I decided to try to read some of this thread and get caught up on the discussion and maybe get into the discussion. Big mistake trying to read the last 10 pages or so and no way am I getting involved any further lol.

Culver was the 6th pick... Bagley was the 2nd pick... I think he's super average and I'd be fine getting him. If it comes at a premium or I have to pay him 20M+ a year... then I'm not all that interested.
There's a reason Hunter is highly regarded around the league...

And I get that... but this performance has been the outlier not the average. I put more value in how he plays over a season versus these types of flashes. Per 36 he averages 1.3 STOCKS and 4 rebounds. Those numbers are painful. Bogey got 5 per 36 and he plays next to Rudy.

He's not super young either... I'm cool getting him at his actual value... but I wouldn't pay a big premium for the theoretical player he could become.

He didn't rebound the ball well this year but as a rookie he averaged 5.1 and in year two he averaged 5.8 PER36. He has also played with two bigs in Capela and Collins that rebound pretty well.

At age 23 (Per 36)

Player A: 18.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists on 48/33/86 splits
Player B: 18.7 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.9 assists on 48/35/80 splits

Trading Rudy also means we are possibly taking away our best chance of having another statue built outside of Vivint(or whatever the new sponsor would name the stadium). It would require hell of a convincing offer that's for sure
I assure you that Ainge does not care about this and his owner is more focused on his own image and the all star game.

Hindsight is 20/20 Jazzfanz was overjoyed about the moves and the jazz were given high marks for their work in the draft. Didn’t work out as well as we thought it would. Still, it’s not a conservative move as is what you claim the jazz are.

He was in the midst of getting pretty good till all the nagging injuries started. The team at that time was young and still trying to learn to win on a consistent basis. Favors and Kanter showed signs of developing into good players. Favors Body broke down, and Kanter couldn’t hold off a future 3 time DPOY.

Still the correct move. Better then the jazz holding on to Williams and hoping for the best and winding up with nothing, and not drafting well. Still not conservative as you say the jazz are.

Kanter took over for Al, Favors took over for Millsap. Millsap wanted out and losing ground to an up and coming young Favors. The jazz were transitioning to a young team and decided to tank and get younger. Neither Millsap or Al were that valuable on the trade market. The jazz didn’t want to add players that would hinder their tank.
Perhaps the Jazz should have
I agree. This Rudy vs Don divide is incredibly annoying. It's been going on since the COVID diagnosis and hasn't really stopped since. I'm hoping that this all goes away when one or both is traded, but I doubt it.
As long as there is a team to cheer for, fans will always complain about their team until they win a championship.
