The narrative of the Chris Paul thing is hilarious. It's as though most people don't know that THE NBA OWNS THE HORNETS AND CAN DO AS THEY ****ING WELL PLEASE with Chris Paul.
The league signed off on a trade that involved a retired player/current coach. There is no person happier than David Stern that Bosh and Lebron turned the ire of fans from his (very poor to meddling for the benefit of major market teams) way of running the league towards the players.
If the NBA owns the Hornets doesn't that in essence mean the other owners are in part owners as well? If that is the case and they want to protect their own investment with the Hornets how could they possibly think that keeping a guy that will surely bolt at the end of the season instead of getting what they could have got in the Lakers deal is a better plan?
