Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

I think both teams have made legit offers for Gobert. I think Ainge is holding out, stoking the market, and asking for more. He'll strike when the moment is right. Let's see where we are in 24 hours.

Or he'll live up to his reputation as "almost Ainge" and won't strike at all.

The Bulls would have...

Rudy Gobert: 4 yr/$170M (Turning 30, will make $44-46M at 33/34)
DeMar DeRozan: 2 yr/$56M (Going to be 33, known playoff choker)
Zach LaVine: 5 yr/$225M (Often injured hasn't shown anything in the playoffs)
Lonzo Ball: 3 yr/$60M (Often injured hasn't shown anything in the playoffs)

What could possibly go wrong???

Paying the same amount for a team that's much worse, or simply not being good. Those are the other options.

Demar has played in 63 playoff games... Trae has played like 21... Derozan couldn't beat Lebron (no one could) and isn't as good in the playoffs... but go compare his numbers to Trae's. He's not a complete dud in the playoffs just because he couldn't get past Lebron lol.

Should they trade Demar, let LaVine walk, and salary dump Lonzo... or should they make an obvious improvement and see what happens? May not work but its a good team on paper if they can get some health luck.

Vuc is a FA next summer and they could afford another max deal if they off load Caruso...
Yeah and they'd maybe land the next Boozer with that space!

DeMar is a career 47% shooter and a 41% shooter in the playoffs, his inability to shoot kills him.

No they should keep their roster flexibility open by not committing to a 4 yr/$170M deal.

I guess we'll see how motivated Ainge is to move Gobert. I think he's fairly motivated. Gobert wasn't someone he brought in, and the coach that built a system around Gobert is now gone.
