I don't really care who has more post moves at this point, one thing I've noticed from highlights of both fellows... They are both stellar rebounders, it will at least be refreshing to see guys fighting for rebs. and if I were a betting man, from footage of favors I've been peepin, I'd bet he is going to be a monster, this year. And I am a betting man.

Amen, Jope.

To say that Kanter is going to be as impressive(or moreso) as Favors is very generous. Favors has shown, in NBA games, flashes of dominance.

As I have stated many times, a guy that just hasn't played a lot in real competition for a long time should not be expecting to be a huge contribution his first year, nor should that be expected. In the meantime, we get to showcase Favors. Next year maybe will be Kanter's time. Is that so bad?

To get on topic, I keep seeing hints that Hayward is our starting 3. If that is true, Burks will have a great opportunity to outshine CJ and Bell. If he's anywhere near as good as advertised Alec will beat both of those guys. ROY therefore is possible.

The funny thing about this thread is that people are arguing about who is better between Kanter and Favors as if they are on different teams. The great thing is they are BOTH on the Jazz and I believe BOTH are very talented with great potential. I still think Burks is certainly a ROY candidate. What do you guys think?

One thing I like about the Kanter - Favor combo is that they are said to excell at different areas of the game. Kanter is said to have a good offensive low post game. Favors can be a defensive low post stud. I think they will compliment each other nicely in the years to come. Maybe even rub off on each other a little so they both become more rounded players.

Morris Almond had a great stroke in College and the D League didn't he?

Are you saying he did not have a good strole in the NBA? My impression, and what I recall of other's impressions, is that his technique was superior but his athleticism and aptitude was insufficient (which I acknowledged would be possible with Kanter, as well).

"nice shot there, pal. Lookin good."

"woh, buddy, what the hell..."

Yes, I used the wrong word. As for the whole rubbing thing...well you never know. I am not close enough to them to either confirm nor deny.
