Why are you surprised that DM was shocked that Quin quit, and Royce was traded? It surprised pretty much everyone on this board. So why wouldn't it surprise DM too? It wasn't clear that Synder was going to quit. People were wanting him to quit. Of course, there is an understanding now because DM is professional enough to know if he complains he could screw up the trade. I think he has a right to want to go now considering the Jazz telling him they are going to do what is best for the organization. Besides not wanting to be in total rebuilt in the prime of his career.

It wasn’t a shock… there were rumors that he was out for a while and several national guys were fairly sure it was happening. I wasn’t shocked at all… not many here were if they were paying attention. It was the fact that a well crafted article came right after the announcement that he was shocked and unnerved that was a little disingenuous. It was a CAA announcement through a CAA mouthpiece.

It’s a good negotiating position to admit the positives of MIA’s offer. And I’m not posturing - I genuinely prefer their players.

I wish OKC would make a play for Mitchell. They have an assload of picks. Miami is too good a team - their unprotected picks are not nearly as appealing as the ****** NYK.

That's the thing, though... NYK's unprotected picks are more appealing than Miami's... but only if they actually offer them. If they are not offering them, I think I would still prefer unprotected picks in 27 and 29 from Miami than the pu pu platter the NYK are offering.

The role of Miami here IMO is crucial in pushing the Knicks to actually include the good stuff. Because if Miami manages to get 2 1sts from somewhere for Herro and/or Lowry... then we are talking...

I agree. As one with 16 years in, inappropriate tone negates any proven point.

Yeah that's not what the line means.

To explain:

The previous lines of the song are about Drake and taking a girl out. He's just saying "I'm not your boyfriend, I'm just your friend with benefits". Then the next line is just a non-sequitur that is telling people he doesnt like to not text him.

So if the IG story is a shot at the Jazz, the Jazz would be the girl he is ****ing, but not committed to long-term. Or the Jazz are the people he doesnt like trying to contact him. Or they are both.
