Jazz and Knicks discussing Donovan Mitchell trade per Shams Charania and Tony Jones

The link above is a nice guide on what teams have what picks. Outside of the Knicks, no teams have extra 1st rounders.
Yeah and the terrible protections Charlotte and Washington has on their picks really causes issues on what they can offer.

Toronto is the dark horse imo. They have all their own firsts… they also have Og you could spin to a third team for some firsts and Trent Jr who would get you some stuff or be the piece that helps get the Lakers stuff in the Russ trade.

If you can get 24/26/28 unprotected Raps picks and swaps in 27/29 (with our pick or the Wolves picks we own). Then spin off OG to like Sacramento/Dallas/Phoenix (any team really since he fits anywhere) for a couple unprotected picks… you are pretty close to the medium Knicks offer.

I got a half a cow earlier from a neighbor and split it with my SIL & BIL. Think it came out to a little over $5/lb. I haven’t bought beef at a grocery store in years, and nothing I get at restaurants compares to what I eat at home. I rarely order steak anymore, so that saves money too lol.

Yeah it’s certainly going to be more expensive out here in NJ. I haven’t really looked on sites much (just had my wife tell me info and send me link which I looked at for 15 seconds) but I’m curious what the cost would be for non-grass fed. That said, I do love dry aged and definitely notice a difference in taste.

I was about to post about watching Toronto. They can, very quickly and easily, spin up a competitive package to New York. Sacto as well, though I imagine that their discussions were simply due diligence.

We also assume the Raps will continue to be good… but FVV and Siakham are both hitting FA soon or getting mega paydays to stay. Raps window is short so could see them pushing in… Don could also hit FA and leave them. The far out picks and swaps might be better than you’d think. It’s at least a competitive offer to make them sweat. I could see Phoenix giving a couple unprotected picks to get OG and their window closes when CP runs out of gas.

Yeah, Toronto seems like the only team that can really compete in this, but anybody adding Donovan isn't going to want to send a load of picks AND lose quality win now players. Toronto would have to sacrifice win now players to generate the picks necessary to compete with NY. I still think NY has the best package to send out. Having 3 extra 1st rounders and young players who won't lead to immediate winning really sets them up well.

Don’t see them doing that now. Kings would have been a good candidate pre-draft.
I’m not sure. Maybe they would. The Kings desperately want to make the playoffs. A lineup of Fox, Mitchell, and Sabonis is certainly one they could sell their fans on (though horribly deficient defensively).

Last time I can recall a team trading a lottery player post-draft, pre-season was the Kevin Love for Andrew Wiggins deal.
