I hope they don't try to move on from Russell. The hate on him is weird and way overboard. He is used to playing with a rim-runner, had a nice run with Jarrett Allen and he wants to win. He doesn't coast on defense and Chris Finch found him a role where he can be effective. I think he is pretty important to Minny's roster.
 
Minny was pretty gritty last year, if they keep it up which they should they are going to be tons better with Rudy and even more fun to watch.


The only issue with them is the fit between KAT and Gobert. Even when KAT played 5 teams would guard him with a 4 and that would jam their offense but I don't think the main problem was that KAT couldn't punish 4s but the 5 would roam around off of non-shooters like Vanderbilt and limit KAT's options. Rudy should create enough gravity around the rim that KAT can find better situations to be in. Important to note that KAT has never played with an above average center.

Probably going to see more off-ball screens from Rudy, too. Should be exciting.
 
I can't watch the NBA if the Jazz aren't involved. I'll be hoping for Rudy to dominate, but the wolves to be bad.

I'm not sure what KAT becomes if he doesn't play in the paint at all. I wonder what they could get for him. I might like the Gobert, Edwards, whatever you can get for Towns lineup better.
 
I am definitely going to watch some Minny games. Very curious how it is going to work for them, KAT and Rudy pairing seems like taken from the one of those annual fantasy drafts.

The Wolves have no interest in doing this.
 
I do wonder how Anthony edwards feels about it all after his earlier foolish and misguided comments about Rudy.

He is with someone who can and will actually get him the ball. Our offense was at its best when we had Ingles running with Gobert on that P&R which opened up all the shooters. Dunks or 3s with no way to guard it.

Sadly Gobert won't play in the pre-season opener on Tuesday and KAT suffered some weird illness that caused him to lose 10 pounds or so.
