I don't get the anger towards Ainge... ain't like he is in a fantasy football league and took advantage of the person who doesn't know or care what they are doing. Is he supposed to take less for his all-stars? Is anyone pissed at SA for getting 3 firsts for Murray?

He had the balls to do the right thing and enough resolve to convince ownership to follow through... stop crying anonymous GMs... yall sound like jealous teenagers.

They're basically mad because he's better at his job than they are at theirs.

Lol he’s adding even more fuel to the Knicks fire I love it.
I would set the over/under on Donovan in Cleveland lasting 1.5 seasons. I bet he gets moved for RJ Barrett and a couple firsts at some point. It could work out but everyone assumes the Garland/Donovan thing is going to be fire on offense. It is likely great but I'm not sure it is great for both guys individually... and I can see some drama brewing at some point if it hits some snags.

He's just so patient and works on his timeline. I'm sure its frustrating but the front offices he supposedly swindled are pretty well respected.... so whoever they interviewed should prolly write some **** down... might learn something.

I also think its proof some front office folks don't get how effing good Rudy is at winning basketball games. Minny gave up a lot but I think Rudy is the most impactful player on that effing roster.

We hated Danny Ainge also, when he was working for the Celtics. We despised him.

Now we are on the other side of that. At the end of the day, I'd rather have him on our side than on someone else's.
We hated him cuz he deep dicked us... if I was one of his peers it would be different. Not sure I'd be like "that guy ruined the market... can't believe that *******". Its kind of a self-own... like if they were trading those guys they'd get 50% less.

I also love that NY fans grab these quotes and just when they were like "eff Don we don't want him".... and now they will get sucked back in almost immediately.

Yes, he did. But we weren't the only ones. Ainge did a number on the entire league in multiple iterations.

"This thing that this guy who builds championship teams is doing, it's unfair."

The crazy thing is some people were complaining about the Dejounte trade and then Danny gets everything SA got for him plus Collin Sexton, Lauri Markkanen, a 2028 pick swap and a 2029 unprotected 1st added on top of it lmao.

I remember those days when we were praying Ainge send us a TPE and a 2nd for Hayward lol.

I don’t know if it’s just me but as time goes by the Donovan deal just looks better and better. I bet if it was a single deal by itself and the Gobert trade didn’t happen before it we’d all be saying we robbed them.

It also shows how polarizing Gobert is as a player. I'm sure there are a handful of executives who think Gobert is overrated and actually not as good as some think.

Chicago is one of them if the reports were true they wouldn’t trade Patrick Williams for him. They’re a team that is going to look dumb as **** after all of this. They traded two premium picks and Wendell Carter for Vucevic who’s going to be an UFA this year. They don’t trade for Gobert and they are closer to being a lottery team than not.

This is pure gold. Danny is a god.

If we look at what Paul George, Anthony Davis and James Harden brought back in trades, the hauls Danny got weren't that outlandish. Part of what helped is that the players didn't make loud demands and limit the markets Danny could send them to. The players were also signed long term. So teams like Cleveland and Minnesota felt like they could push their chips in. Trading a star right after he signs long term isn't a bad play for a team like Utah.

Ehh, I don't think so. Chicago is a fading team. Gobert would have been a bandaid, but I think with all their injury concerns it wouldn't be a smart bet.

Chicago should be looking to do what Utah did soon
