What's new

DA/JZ Press Conference

We hated him cuz he deep dicked us... if I was one of his peers it would be different. Not sure I'd be like "that guy ruined the market... can't believe that *******". Its kind of a self-own... like if they were trading those guys they'd get 50% less.

I remember those days when we were praying Ainge send us a TPE and a 2nd for Hayward lol.

I don’t know if it’s just me but as time goes by the Donovan deal just looks better and better. I bet if it was a single deal by itself and the Gobert trade didn’t happen before it we’d all be saying we robbed them.

It also shows how polarizing Gobert is as a player. I'm sure there are a handful of executives who think Gobert is overrated and actually not as good as some think.

Chicago is one of them if the reports were true they wouldn’t trade Patrick Williams for him. They’re a team that is going to look dumb as **** after all of this. They traded two premium picks and Wendell Carter for Vucevic who’s going to be an UFA this year. They don’t trade for Gobert and they are closer to being a lottery team than not.

This is pure gold. Danny is a god.

If we look at what Paul George, Anthony Davis and James Harden brought back in trades, the hauls Danny got weren't that outlandish. Part of what helped is that the players didn't make loud demands and limit the markets Danny could send them to. The players were also signed long term. So teams like Cleveland and Minnesota felt like they could push their chips in. Trading a star right after he signs long term isn't a bad play for a team like Utah.

Ehh, I don't think so. Chicago is a fading team. Gobert would have been a bandaid, but I think with all their injury concerns it wouldn't be a smart bet.

Chicago should be looking to do what Utah did soon

No, they literally should have traded for Gobert. They just signed LaVine and DeRozan to huge deals. They traded future picks to win now. Their front office is trash.

Yeah they should trade those guys next year when they lose in the first round like Utah did. That's why I compared them to Utah.

That could also be a diss. Some people insist on a certain name and are not happy if addressed differently. Robert/ Bobby, Charles/ Chuck. It can be a way to put a pretentious person in their place.

Or not
Don't forget Richard/Dick, Gordon/Dick, PK/Dick, Jessica/Karen, There are lots of options I've heard out there. People are mean when they want to be.
