Lakers are supposedly super high on Nunn so not sure he’s involved in a deal either.
Sure. If it’s for one pick maybe that’s better than what we’ll send and ask for.I agree but Poeltl and Richardson would make them much better than Russ... so you sell it as a basketball move that creates "flexibility".
I'm just saying there are other potential teams out there... I think we are the best match... but they also might elect to keep Russ and the picks (it seems nuts but maybe they dumb enough to do it).
I don't want to make the same mistake Knicks fans made.
The guy that’s been injured for more than a year? And is one of their four small guards? Five?Lakers are supposedly super high on Nunn so not sure he’s involved in a deal either.
The Pacers have the best available package.Or that they don’t want salary on the books the next year, or that their particular package isn’t worth 2 firsts (it isn’t). Or that the Pacers just gave up too soon and created an even stronger position for the Jazz.
FIFYLakers are supposedly super high
And McDermott/Collins.I agree but Poeltl and Richardson would make them much better than Russ... so you sell it as a basketball move that creates "flexibility".

I don’t think they can honestly build a contender right now. Poeltl is one of the most underrated guys in the league so he’d make a big difference for them.Sure. If it’s for one pick maybe that’s better than what we’ll send and ask for.
But ain’t no way that team is even a pretender. I wouldn’t burn a pick for that.
They are high on him because they have nothing else to be high on.Lakers are supposedly super high on Nunn so not sure he’s involved in a deal either.
Yep, and one of their primary concerns is keeping AD healthy which means making sure he isnt the starting center.I don’t think they can honestly build a contender right now. Poeltl is one of the most underrated guys in the league so he’d make a big difference for them.
The Pacers are out and I’m not sure how much they were really in. And no, Hield’s money is not better than getting off all the money and getting depth too. Beasley’s probably as good or better, too.The Pacers have the best available package.
It could be the salary thing, but it still means the same thing: two picks from the Lakers is not happening.
I don't see us giving up a young prospect on a multi-year contract. Lakers are in win now mode. They want vets and expiring contracts. We want young prospects on long, reasonable contracts. Sure, the Lakers SHOULD want a guy like Vando, but there is no incentive for the Jazz to get rid of players just like him.Don’t really see a viable deal with Vando unless the Lakers are willing to take on extra salary.

If it gets the 2nd pick.If Vando is the player that closes the deal Danny will help him pack his stuff.
They can easily offload him into space or a TPE. Or work him into a sign and trade for whoever (probably the better plan anyway).Don’t really see a viable deal with Vando unless the Lakers are willing to take on extra salary.
The incentive is the extra pick... and they absolutely would want him. They are about to start Thomas Bryant who is coming off an ACL tear a year or so ago.I don't see us giving up a young prospect on a multi-year contract. Lakers are in win now mode. Multi? As in two? The two years we’re probably tanking and we won’t have restricted free agency rights?I don't see us giving up a young prospect on a multi-year contract. Lakers are in win now mode. It's shocking to me they havent signed Whiteside. He must have been awful in the locker room last year for the Jazz. The incentive is the extra pick... and they absolutely would want him. They are about to start Thomas Bryant who is coming off an ACL tear a year or so ago.
I think both teams would want to keep him... so he may end up staying. If they aren't doing both picks then Vando stays for sure.
They should honestly want salary for next year if it is attached to decent players or expiring. It will be easier to do a sign and trade for Ky than an outright FA signing. Same with almost any other FA. Pat Riley sits in his office and laughs at these assholes thinking they need actual cap space to sign FAs.They can easily offload him into space or a TPE. Or work him into a sign and trade for whoever (probably the better plan anyway).
I don't know... I think he is similar to Dwight with his nonsense and they aren't desperate enough. If he is still a FA that might be a midseason pickup. It's shocking to me they havent signed Whiteside. He must have been awful in the locker room last year for the Jazz.
