The Pacers are out and I’m not sure how much they were really in. And no, Hield’s money is not better than getting off all the money and getting depth too. Beasley’s probably as good or better, too.

I don't see us giving up a young prospect on a multi-year contract. Lakers are in win now mode. They want vets and expiring contracts. We want young prospects on long, reasonable contracts. Sure, the Lakers SHOULD want a guy like Vando, but there is no incentive for the Jazz to get rid of players just like him.

If Vando is the player that closes the deal Danny will help him pack his stuff.

The incentive is the extra pick... and they absolutely would want him. They are about to start Thomas Bryant who is coming off an ACL tear a year or so ago.

I think both teams would want to keep him... so he may end up staying. If they aren't doing both picks then Vando stays for sure.

Multi? As in two? The two years we’re probably tanking and we won’t have restricted free agency rights?

Draft capital is wonderful incentive to trade a guy that isn’t on the timeline.

It's shocking to me they havent signed Whiteside. He must have been awful in the locker room last year for the Jazz.

They should honestly want salary for next year if it is attached to decent players or expiring. It will be easier to do a sign and trade for Ky than an outright FA signing. Same with almost any other FA. Pat Riley sits in his office and laughs at these assholes thinking they need actual cap space to sign FAs.

I don't know... I think he is similar to Dwight with his nonsense and they aren't desperate enough. If he is still a FA that might be a midseason pickup.

Sure, but Bird Rights/team option give you the theoretical optionality of either.
