It’s interesting to me how a championship franchise deals with the worst of it. Right?

Not really that interesting to me.

I doubt anyone on the Warriors really likes Draymond that much, but they all respect the hell out of what he does for the team on the court. At the end of the day the Warriors are a dynasty who are trying to stack rings, not placate the public who wants to see the bully punished.

Yep. Called it. He got a fine. From the warriors. That's it. Back to practice on Thursday. What a joke.

By comparison what punishment did Sugar Ray Portis get? From memory it was a team suspension? Now I think Green is a colossal arsehole as much as the next man but it isn't a crime.

I would have taken someone on the Jazz punching teammates if it meant we werent as soft as we were the past couple years.

The Warriors are ok with it too, they're pissed it leaked. Dante Exum went after Miye Oni and it leaked like a sieve, solid culture doesn't end up on TMZ or in the press. I hate watching guys on the jazz be everyone's friend, **** that ****.

Dray wanted to punch Poole… really didn’t matter what Jordan did…. Push, put up his hands, whatever. Dray walked over there wanting to get into it and went to the death punch in an instant.

Jordan could have smiled and walked away or whatever… Dray was gonna come for him. He made up his mind when he walked over.

Since this all came out... Dray had a couple cringy quotes. One where "hurt people hurt people..." like he has a mental health issue or something... so don't come down on him too hard when he punches his teammate into oblivion.

Also had a quote about how the video was cut to make it look worse than it was... wtf is that? Like is there another angle where it looks like he gave Poole a hug.

His apology was okay... but those two things hint to me that he still making excuses for his BS.

Poole gets over it, or gets traded.

Poole gets over it, or gets traded.
Poole >>>> Draymond... at least going forward into the future. Warriors will pick Poole over Dray if it comes to that.

The thing with Draymond is no one is going to want to trade for him since they know he's going to want to go to LA and/or he is going to want a very big contract to stay with your team.

The Warriors would be idiots to trade him. They dont need future assets. They have players laying in wait to replace Draymond. They arent starving for assets or players. They are stacked to the max and are set-up for life post-Draymond just fine. It would have to be insanely toxic for them to trade him. Like he would have to bang Curry's wife, slap Steve Kerr, and flush all of Klay's weed down the toilet for him to get traded.

For the way the Warriors play Poole is much easier to replace and has trade value. Draymond also has a value to the Warriors that goes far beyond his trade value, aside from on the court he's a big part of setting culture and standards. These things really matter high performance environments.
