The Jazz have had 20 different 3 Player Lineups play over 50 minutes together throughout 9 games so far.

Out of those 20 different lineups a total of 7 have a Net Rating of over 10.

Net Rating is Offensive Rating minus Defensive Rating

The 3 best lineups have been:

Conley/Beasley/Markkanen (53 mins in 6 games) +23.2 Net Rating
Clarkson/Sexton/KO (68 mins in 9 games) +22.5 Net Rating
Conley/Sexton/Markkanen (54 mins in 6 games) +21.1 Net Rating

Those are the only 3 that are above 20 Net Rating. Obviously the more minutes you play together the lower your Net Rating over time will be but for about 8-9 mins a game these lineups have been crushing it.

The other 4 lineups over 10 in Net Rating:

Clarkson/Sexton/Markkanen (89 mins in 9 games) +13.0 Net Rating
Clarkson/KO/Markkanen (181 mins in 9 games) +11.3 Net Rating
Sexton/KO/Markkanen (72 mins in 9 games) +11.0 Net Rating
Conley/Beasley/Vando (57 mins in 7 games) +10.8 Net Rating

The Clarkson/KO/Markkanen 3 player lineup is the leader in mins played together and it having such a high Net Rating is a big reason why we are winning games.

The worst 3 lineups and the only ones with a negative Net Rating:

Beasley/THT/Vando (52 mins in 9 games) -17.7 Net Rating
Conley/KO/Vando (111 mins in 8 games) -1.7 Net Rating
Beasley/THT/Gay (60 mins in 6 games) -0.6 Net Rating

The Beasley/THT/Vando combination is getting absolutely crushed. It’s about 6 mins a game so far but that is atrocious. Beasley/THT/Gay for 10 mins a game so far has been absolutely terrible too.

The Jazz have had 25 different 2 Player Lineups play over 60 minutes together throughout 9 games so far.

Out of those 25 different lineups a total of 7 have a Net Rating of over 10.

Net Rating is Offensive Rating minus Defensive Rating

The 7 lineups with a Net Rating of over 10 are:

Conley/Sexton (61 mins in 7 games) +17.7
Conley/Beasley (100 mins in 7 games) +14.5
Sexton/KO (86 mins in 9 games) +12.8
Clarkson/Sexton (100 mins in 9 games) +11.3
Clarkson/Markkanen (240 mins in 9 games) +10.2
Beasley/Gay (84 mins in 6 games) +10.1
Clarkson/KO (204 mins in 9 games) +10.0

The worst 2 lineups by far and the only ones with a Net Rating worse than -8.5:

THT/Vando (61 mins in 9 games) -15.8
Beasley/THT (127 mins in 9 games) -14.6

Interesting thing. This is our player statlines against opponents above .500 atm (meaning our games vs Nuggest x2, Grizz x2, Pels and Mavs, where we are 4-2).

Clarkson line is ugly in those games. 36% shooting 28.9% 3pt and 64.7% FT and only 2 steals with 18 TO... Feels like he has played better than that line. He does have 35 assists and 26 boards in those games though.

Good post.
I dont like seeing the beasley lineups being so bad. I think he is our most dangerous 3 point shooter. I want more beasely tbh

Clarkson has found ways to impact the game when he’s not shooting as well.

We are shooting it extremely well as a team overall from 3 in those games which is awesome.

THT is 2/15 from 3 and 13/36 overall against teams above .500. He has 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals and 7 turnovers in 88 minutes of game play in those games.

He is the worst player on the team who gets rotational minutes in net rating.

This guy is terrible and I’d much rather see Ochai out there instead of him.

He’s actually very good in lineups with Conley and that passes the eye test as well. THT is the common denominator in almost every really bad net rating so it’s more of he’s playing with THT than anything he’s doing wrong.

You left out THT best stat though.
Laughs generated per game. That is a skill that cant be taught
