Your take on Lauri seems to be rather similar what I've perceived over years, though I have only occasionally watched his games. There have been that weird changing curve in his consistency, it's clear. One night he can be and act like total stud, and next night almost disappearing altogether. His court presence is somewhat hard to qualify also for the fact that in one game he can put in a series of highlight reel dunks and but in a next game still have better stats and score more points, unceremoniously, without causing too much fuzz from attendance. But then again he did great job with the game before, worked quite well in few tighter games and so on... I dont know what it is, bc this has been going on before. Is it him not gotten enough touches during the game he feels his touch is not there to take closing shots, or is it endurance based thing that might be resolved with more summer training. s someone that has watches almost all his games in the NBA I think it's it of both. Those issues can be resolved. Spacing in the corner he would have had several times the baseline open for a moment if he ever got the ball at those few lapses Mavs had... Like that kinda of lanes that he used for the reverse dunk few games back. He has had somewhat tendency to disappear in some games if he hasn't got touches. So true, he has to become more alpha bc his game is so much about rhythm and consistent touches. So ask the all from the bang.
Hopefully he can continue on his new higher level, and upwards trajectory.
He is baller, and baller needs the ball. For sure.
