Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

Vando/Gay for Crowder/1st is something I would look into.
Nah...

I prefer Vando to most 1st we would get from Phoenix.

Clarkson is the main chucker on the team. When he is on, we win. When he is off, we lose. When he is on, he moves the ball. When he is off, the ghost of Quin whispers in his ear to SHOOT MORE!!!

Team basketball has been a blast. Clarkson opens things up for others for sure, Crowder is a diddus.

I’m with the sentiment here. I don’t think he’s nearly as good as people think. I would move him for a first without thinking twice.
I would probably trade Vando for a decent FRP.

It's getting to the point where I would trade just about anyone for picks...except for Kessler of course.
I just mainly want to see more Kessler as the season progresses.

If we can get KJ Martin without giving a first I'd do it (not sure Houston would do it for second rounders)... for pure entertainment sake I'd want him to play 30 minutes a night. Dude gets up.

Yeah, honestly Vando might actually suck. His best quality is that he raises the collective effort level, but he is a disappointment on defense.

I'm not fully onboard with that opinion though. Maybe he is actually good, idk.

Ya im a huge fan of his attidude desire hustle etc but he isnt as good as i had hoped. Yet.

The Brooklyn/LA Kyrie dilemma is our opportunity to sneak out with some assets for our vets. Ky is a FA and won't be re-signing there... Nets mutually will agree there. Nets have no way to replace him on the roster though as they won't have cap space. They really can't tank and rebuild as Houston owns their draft the next few years. So even if they got guys they could play this year and next it would be a win.

Lakers want a star for their picks... that ain't happening... unless its Kyrie. Their season is basically over in a month or so if they don't turn **** around. Ky wants to be there... Lebron wants him there... do they make a deal with the devil?

Would Brooklyn trade Ky for JC and KO? I think so... I think you could even get them to throw in a side benefit like getting the second choice of their pick, Houston's pick, and Philly's pick.

With LA... would they do one unprotected pick to get Ky and Beasley. Its perfect because they can keep both guys if they want... or they can have cap space if it flops.

Russ/Nunn/1 first and a boost to the other first we own... infinity cap space next year... a real shot at a top 6-7 pick this year. I'd do it of course... not sure LA is cool with the publicity hit... but they obviously get a deal talentwise.

So... you are essentially suggesting we move 1 pick 3 years into the future and give away a potential future player in Beasley to dump future salary and to tank better?

We dont have a legit starting lineup anymore. Russ blows up Hardys schemes by doing Russ things and brings in the press.

What are we then, the Utah Nets? This is evil genious level stuff, and 100% what DA would not do.

Quickley and Collins trade rumors today. I think getting them now would be getting them at their lowest.
I would rather go after Bones Hyland instead of Quickly if looking for that type of add on. I don't see the Jazz going after any guards via trade unless of course guards is all they are getting rid of or something.
I see them NOT trading JC unless he asks out, maybe having trouble finding a good suitor for Mike as he has levelled off from early. So all that leaves outgoing potentially is Sexton who still is not back to 100% or so it appears, and has little value as a result.

No... we improve a pick we own (the worse of the nets/philly pick becomes the better of the nets/philly pick)... we get a premium first rounder in 2026 or 2027 from LA. That is the kind of pick that turns into Jaylen Brown or Jayson Tatum (something DA has done iirc).

We waive Russ immediately and he signs in Charlotte or focuses on his fashion career. We open up like $40M in space to sign guys with (Beasley, JC, KO could all be waived or opt out next year so that route is available in either scenario... but not likely if we keep those guys this year its likely some stick around and eat into our dwindling cap space.

We improve our own pick at the cost of a play-in birth but also get to play the young guys to get some development time.

We become the Utah Thunder and hopefully get lucky but it is better than being the Utah Knicks or Utah Wizards.

Ok I missed that swap part. Makes more sense then, but still not buying that flagrant of a tanking move from DA.

For me I try and start with the end in mind... fast forward to draft night. Would you trade the #14 pick, JC/KO/Beasley on expiring deals for 30M in cap space, #7 pick, and the Lakers pick unprotected in 25/26? Of course... we all would... and that ignores the bump up in swap rights of the other pick.

The question to me isn't would DA do it... its would LA do it? Would Ryan sign off on it? I think its right in Danny's wheelhouse.

But you ignore this season. By saying DA would do it you assume DA has no interest in being competitive this year.
