We Got Swindled by Sexton (And Eddie Zero Sucks)

28 minutes 1 assist.

There really isn't a role on this team for him. With Clarkson already on the team and THT/Beasley also being spark plugs off the bench, we don't need his scoring. He tries on defense but is too small and ineffective and the more he tries to play for the team the worst he plays.
Bingo.

I would be fine never seeing him take the court in a Jazz jersey again.

Sexton is trying to develop, that we know of. He is studying film with Conley and Hardy, and obviously Hardy is putting him in those positions which indicates that he wants to learn.

However the more I think about this, the more I think its a lost cause. Sexton is a tunnel vision guy, and its how his brains are wired. Its easy to see between people in general, that some of us are observers and thinkers who are wired to plan while others are doers who are wired to act. You need both types on the court, but a good playmaker must be an observer. He must be the guy who sees and records everything, even stuff going on in his peripheral vision.

Now if we would move on from JC at any point, Sexton would have a place in this roster. However he would be a downgrade. But as long as JC is in, Sexton is a 20 minute maximum guy for us. As I have also stated on numerous occasions, Sexton and JC cannot be on the court together for extended periods of time. It just stalls our game. We need 1 guy like that, and I would prefer JC right now even if he is older.

Sexton isn't a rookie and is well paid and getting scolded by a rookie coach caught on camera is bad
No... its not. Coaches riding a guy that hard is awesome. Duncan was famously coached harder than anyone by Pop. Hardy knows he can go at him and not lose him... what you don't want is the sniping in press conferences like Wood and Kidd have going right now.

This is fine... and not in a meme way.
