Trade Conley/Olynyk

Honestly I’d love to buy low on any of Golden States young kids.

They have a terrible environment to develop these dudes with a championship or bust focus and a very established roster and rotation.

Exactly what I was thinking. Worst of our 3 this year and I would take both those swings and feel great about the logic.

Oh no. I watch a lot of Warriors based on where I live and follow the team pretty closely. He sucks.... bad. Absolutely zero feel for the game in all facets. You watch him enough and you'll see it's beyond teachable.

Things that can happen "in the long run":

- Career-altering (or even career-ending) injury to guy who was supposed to be "the future"
- Building block type guy suddenly going full malcontent and demanding a trade after striking up a friendship with Kevin Durant
- Your brand new all-youngins team, built to compete "in the long run", going 22-60 for five years straight

And of course... we're all dead in the long run.

I'll just enjoy the present day when I can, thanks.

Plus both of their contracts are more expensive than most on the team (they are vets after all)

yep. Especially knowing that if we don't trade them now, we will just let them walk for free in a couple of seasons.

This Sexton hype is comic.

Jazz have lost all the games where Sexton (according to some..) has played brilliantly.

Does that not say anything to these Sexton fans, including Bailey..

Clearly another Sexton hater right? I mean c'mon, they mostly lost because other players performances. Detroit it was Marky shooting badly and 8 turnovers from the starters Sexton had 2 of them with his 12 dimes. In the GSW game they tried to beat the Warriors at their own game, and took a whopping 45 3pa making 11. Ironic here is the Warriors also took 45 and made 20. The Jazz starters contributed to 9 TO but Sexton had no turnovers with his 7 dimes . Jazz also got owned on fastbreak points. In the Suns match up the Jazz played well, and had a chance down the stretch, but ad no answer in the paint for Ayton and his 21 rebounds or 29 points.
So yeah its not hype , but keep thinking you are a genius when he continues to NOT be why they lose.

I think we are losing now bc teams have found a way to highlight the teams defensive deficiencies. We won a lot of early games to by simply shooting outrageous 3pt percentages. Teams now are breaking down the defense and I don’t know where we rank but opponent points per game has to be quite high. Lots of defense left to be desired on the roster. Would trade several pieces now to help with the tank but also bc the defense is pretty porous w some of these dudes and unlikely to get better. Would keep Lauri, sexton, Beasley, kessler, agbaji and everyone else up for grabs

We were forcing lots of turnovers and that seems to have died down. We were doing some stuff to game the math in our favor but it’s not been as potent. Not saying we suck but we weren’t like a home court advantage type good. My take before the season was we were a 35 win team. I think we are slightly better than that but caught some teams off guard and did some smart things… that have lost some impact. Also won like 3 super close games… kinda coming back to earth now.
 
Our biggest problem is defense, especially pick and roll defense, but passing is way down from where it was. That much is obvious. Guys are not passing or cutting and the great ball movement we used to have is a distant memory.

That's on the coach as well.

Due to your former allegiance to the dark side (Proud Boys…err I mean Tank Wankers) I’m obviously a tad suspicious of your motives. Conley I get, he’s old and got one foot out the door already. Anyway, anybody with any brains can see that Sexton is ready for a bigger role on this team. But Olynyk regularly does things that Kessler could only dream of such as playmaking, perimeter D and three point shooting. You do realize that he’s shooting a whopping 47% from three right? Don’t ding him because he can’t keep Ayton off the boards on the back end of back to back. Ayton is one of the most physical and athletic big men in the league.
