Donald is about to go through some things...

Here’s one article. There are a bunch on it.

That said, I agree with your points debating. He was young. Live and learn.
I really hate the power that debating has in our political system tbh. One of the best leaders I ever met was a terrible public speaker and avoided it whenever he could. He obviously did well enough but he would have sucked in a debate format. Look at the **** that come out of the debates, like "binders full of women" that the media and the opposition latches onto. I get we need a forum for the public to get to know the candidates better but the debate is a poor representation of who those people are and what they are capable of. Mostly it measure how effective they are at 1) exciting the voting base and 2) generating sound bites. It isn't a good measure of them as a leader.

“A jury in New York has convicted the Trump Organization of criminal tax fraud in a stinging rebuke of the former US president’s company.

Although Donald Trump was not personally on trial, prosecutors in the case brought by the Manhattan district attorney insisted he was fully aware of the long-running scheme in which they said executives were enriched by off-the-books perks to make up for lower salaries, reducing the company’s tax liabilities.

“This was a case about greed and cheating,” Alvin Bragg, the Manhattan district attorney, said in a statement celebrating the guilty verdict. “In Manhattan, no corporation is above the law.”

More classified documents found in a storage unit in florida now lol.

The GOP establishment wants to throw trump to the wolves but the base still doesn’t. The fact that many rumored to be interested in running in 2024 are too afraid to declare/attack Trump speaks volumes. Just look at the t balls that were set up for DeSantis, Haley, Pence, etc just in the last two weeks:

1. Nazis are bad.
2. Antisemitism is bad.
3. The Constitution is good and shouldn’t be overthrown.

Not a single 24 hopeful attacked trump over these things. Why? Because they know the base still loves him.

I agree, and he seems to be embracing the least rational among his followers….

He keeps pandering to whoever will still treat him like a god, and thankfully as most people are generally rational, the masses of people who will do that are dwindling, so he ratchets it up among the still-rabid base, who are increasingly the nut-jobs and fanaticals. The lunatic fringe, so to speak, are all he really has left. Even Fox is slowly starting to turn on him.

Teflon Don is looking a little past his prime

Eggs and fish be sticking all over that MFer these days.

You found the pan I threw out a few weeks ago. After it destroyed two eggs I finally had enough. Everything was sticking to it. I don’t know why I even held onto it for so long. It’s not like pans are expensive or hard to find.
Teflon pans are disposable

Sounds like Jack Smith is a bloodhound.

Regarding one component, involving state officials:

“And Trump personally participated. He called for friendly legislatures to help him stay in office. He introduced Giuliani on a call in which the former New York City mayor made an unsuccessful pitch to Arizona’s then–Senate Majority Leader Rusty Bowers to appoint “fake electors” to cast Electoral College votes for Trump.

The concerted, multistate effort looks very much like the basis for charging a conspiracy to defraud the United States of its lawful government function in a presidential election. Smith’s Dec. 6 subpoenas aim to collect evidence of the scheme held by state officials.”
