Game Thread Dec 13, 2022 07:00PM MT: Jazz vs Pelicans

Added to Calendar: 12-13-22

For whatever reason even though the dvr service thru DirecTV stream is set to record Jazz games, it always records the opposing team's broadcast.

So today I had the misfortune of hearing Joel Meyers, one of the biggest whinest bitch announcers ever, at least when he's calling Jazz games. He was the same way when he was with the Spurs too.

Although that *** kicking made his bitch *** tears all the sweeter

And **** the tank!

Holy hole in a doughnut!

That game was both ugly and awesome. Never thought we would be the better team in the paint in this one. Kudos to Vando and Kessler especially.

To shoot barely over 30% from 3 and still rout the team many consider to be the best in the West.. give me a break.

Our bench was also huge.. Kessler, NAW and Beasley in particular.

JC had a rough game but at least there were some signs he might be back on the right track. He didnt stagnate us as badly as in some other recent games. If he learns to play within the system instead of playing his own brand of ball, we will so much better for it.

Me too. He looks so unhappy all the time, and Andy Larsen mentioned in one of his articles a few weeks ago that he doesn't really fit in with the rest of the guys in the locker room.
Because he sucks? Or because of personalities?

Good point. I guess it's hard to feel too sorry for someone who gets paid millions of dollars to play a game.

I do hope some other team picks him up and gives him a chance. I like Dok

Last night is just another example of why coaches are dumb for worrying about foul trouble so much. Zion gets 3 fouls early so of course he gets yanked because they dont want him to foul out. He finishes the game with……. 3 fouls lol. So their coach only plays thier best player 26 minutes because they are scared he will foul out and not be on the court. So the coach takes him out which is literally not having him on the court.
Might as well play him until he fouls out. That way you know you got every possible minute you could out of your best player.

There is like a million examples of this.

True, but on the flip side, Hardy left JV in when he got his 4th, and moments later he got his 5th and had to sit. It's not always about playing so-and-so many minutes, it matters to have your key players down the line in the 4th too.

And another thing. When a player gets in foul trouble what does the opponent do? Goes after that player to try to make them get another foul right? Seems like you should be able to use that knowledge to your advantage somehow as that makes the opponent more predictable. You know where they want to go with the ball now.
