How come when I try to edit a post it won't let me edit the title if I created the topic?

Or am I missing something?

This needs to be fixed pronto.

Forum posts are generally longer and have more stuff that could go wrong in a post.

A thread topic is actually somewhat important since you'd want a user to enter the thread to see what the title is all about, leading one to think that people take a little more caution in their forum titles than forum posts, so your suggestion in response to someone's advice is inadequate.

OK, I think I finally figured out how to make it so that thread titles can be edited indefinitely.

(To edit a thread title, click "edit post" on the first post, then "Go advanced".)

EDIT: Ok I edited the title but it still shows 'Editing' on the topic listing page but when you click on that it shows my new title. Soooooooooo....?????????

Advanced only allows you to edit the the title of the post and not the thread. As far as I can tell, there is no way to edit the thread title.
