Say hello again to awful interior defense and being out-rebounded with the 1st unit. I agree with David Locke on this one in his opinion of Locke saying on his blog that he didn't think that the starting lineup was the problem, we lead for most of the first quarter in L.A. against the Lakers and was still in the game in Denver for most of the 1st and 2nd quarters.

Locke is a homer. So the big change is to bench Favors. WOW!!!! When are the Jazz going to realize that benching Bell is the player who should be benched.

Agreed! Either start Howard or Burks in his spot, instant upgrade. The front office needs to realize we as fans of this team are excited about the future of our franchise and the young players we have on this team need to be developed like OKC developed their young guns and now OKC has a very bright future. Sometimes we got to learn in order to take two steps forward as a franchise that we may have to take one step back and bite the bullet for a season or two to let these young players get more experience and not just garbage time because its not effective for their development to play against other teams 11th, 12th, and 13th players on their roster in garbage time when the game is already decided.

Still won't work. Jefferson is the one who needs to be benched not favors. Also bell and Harris are still in the starting line up. It's still going to be ugly.

Locke is brainless homer who has no clue about basketball. He must suck somebodies d... to have a job as basketball "expert"

Obviously Favors didn't stand there and watch Al Jefferson when he got the ball effectively enough for Ty. Hopefully Millsap does a better job at doing this...

Don't you guys think Favors will still get his minutes? Millsap's been playing a lot despite starting off the bench, and Favors sat out almost all the Lakers first half with foul trouble anyway. I don't really see the problem, as long as Favors keeps getting significant minutes.

Wow. I am really, really, really trying to not judge Ty Corbin as an imcompetent failure, but it is getting harder to hold off.

He so far just really strikes me as indecisive and unsure. Which is how the team is playing. Changing the starting line-up after 2 games? Really?

I actually think this is a good call. I think Favors will get more minutes, he can come in for either Al or Sap, and he can start to get his confidence. If Burk isn't ready to start, we should start CJ and bring Burk in as a backup. Bell should be used in garbage time, let's see if he can score 15 in half a quarter.

35 minutes. That's what Favors got to show his stuff, 17.5 mpg. I guess ya gotta say that Coach Ty gave him a real good shot huh? What's next, naming a new starting 5 after every quarter?

Pretty much disgusted right now. Favors needs confidence and this does not help. Just disgusting on so many levels. If this is the route the Jazz are going to take, I am not paying for LP this year. I was content watching them lose while the young guys got burn, but this is just beyond asinine. Proabbaly wait for the midseason pricing at this point. Maybe then Ty will be fired, and Jeffersona nd Bell will have been shipped off.

Favors has no range and can't spread the floor. Millsap has great range, possibly out to the 3 point line this year. You can't win in this league without good floor spacing.

Jefferson doesn't have much range either, and Favors is a better rebounder and defender. So start Favors/Millsap.

It's way better offensively obviously. But lets wait and see how they fare defensively in the new scheme. We need to get off to good starts and I think Al and Sap can play much better together than they have.

I like this move. Favors isn't ready to start. I think he will play better coming off the bench for now. It's hard to keep Millsap on the bench when he is the only player giving 110% effort and it's hard to bench Jefferson when he is the only player who can create offense for himself.

Just imagine if Ty started Burks/CJ instead of Bell with that unit. Hawyard/Burks/CJ/Harris can all drive and pass. Not only can you exploit your best defensive matchup down low (pick and pop with Sap, Al on the block), but you can run P&R with any player on the arc at any time. That could be a very dynamic, fun offense to watch.

Well having an incompetent offense leads to bad defense. Turnovers, bricked jump shots, both those lead to run outs where any NBA team has trouble containing. I guarantee starting Millsap will do wonders.
