THT Turning The Corner?

He didn't turn the corner ... He just is being able to grow in the areas in which he is already skilled and gifted. Glad to see it hopefully he stays here in Utah for the long haul. I see something special in Lauri, Kessler, THT and now Dunn. I don't think I'm sold on Agbaji but hopefully he has success like THT.

Does THT opt out of his contract at seasons end in the hope of finding a longer term deal?

Feel like it could be beneficial for both parties to explore this idea. The talent is there to work with on the right terms.

Who’s the person they had on the broadcast before halftime?

Some players just need to handle the ball more to be effective. What surprise me the most is the way he controls the game with his passing. Sexton could never do that.

I’ve never seen him use tight ball handling like that, dude was weaving in and out of traffic like he was Kyrie Irving, forcing his way into the paint like LBJ, and finishing like Dame. Last night he was playing like he was the best pg in the nba.

This is the big question now. I'm pretty confident he opts out so the question becomes what would you offer him in free agency?

I guess we found our Lance Stevenson flash in the pan lol. THT just had the game of his life. The odds he ever does that again in an NBA court vs at the city courts are about the same odds as us winining the lottery from the 15th spot smh.
I do think THT has proven himself over the past 5 games to be worth holding on to,and have even said as much, and that performance solidifies it. But he is still less likely to contribute to winning against better teams and more in line with what we had seen from him most of the season.
I for one would be on the phone with CHA seeing what they will give up for him on draft week . I would do a THT opt in, with our late first ( before yesterdays game I would have felt the Wolves pick was needed)
for Kai Jones team opt in- and one of CHA 5 2023 2nd rounders I am guessing the one in the high 40's is about right.
Jones would fit well between the Finnisher and Walker and is primed for break out.

You have to be kidding me. You want to trade THT and a 1st for Kai Jones.

yep I do. I think past the game I just watched unlike some of you.
THT just proved why he is a monster if nobody is defending him and nobody else on his team is hitting shots where the coach gives him the full green.
He is exactly the kind of guy you put your money on for a lottery team to entertain the tank crowd and the first one you trade when you have a chance to get a team player
that will cost less and help you win more long term.
Kai Jones is defnitely still raw as ****, but the ceiling is elite defender.
I will take my chances on Kai Jones over somebody else we might draft at 26 and not having to overpay to retain THT anyday

You're thinking wayyyyyyyy past the game into a whole different sport if you think trading THT and a first for Kai Jones is a good move.

It is a good move if Kai Jones is on this roster long term and THT opts out and plays for someone else anyway smh.
Besides Jones is showing flashes of having been a slept on, and is imo similar upside mobile "anywhere defender" Like Barnes or Mobley both taken high lottery
