Exit Interviews

If anyone was looking for the interviews they are here: https://espn700sports.com/utah-jazz/utah-jazz-end-of-season-media-availability-2022-23/

It's such an awkward question to ask "what is your ceiling" haha
I hope to be the next Raja Bell… he answered it the right way… us acting like it means anything is funny.

I’m hopeful he has a higher ceiling than I think. From the draft reports last year he is a really hard worker… I believe it… hopefully the work keeps paying off.

I always ask myself why reporters ask these dumb leading questions but at the same time it's what people talk about.

Potentially hot take, but while working hard matters hearing about it doesn't make me change my evaluation much. In the large majority of cases it's talent and situation that makes the difference. Someone being a hard worker (or not being a hard worker) can be spun in either direction when it comes to potential...especially when talking about ceiling.

Dillon Brooks, Miles Bridges, kuzma, har
Sorry if this is off topic but are there any legit free agents we could sign? Someone who is a real #2 or 3 option on a championship team and preferably 29 years old or younger.
After we get the number 1 pick and go pick Victor W. We go sign Kristaps Porziņģis and have a huge lineup.

On a serious note, I’d think about fvv (depending on our pick)

Or if we end up with the 9th and 12th pick I call up the hornets and offer them both picks plus 2 future 1st rounders for Ball. I then use my cap space on to resign Clarkson and sign kuzma.

That is way too much to give up. Fans need to be patient. Jazz have talent and if they hit on a few draft picks they are right back in the hunt. One guy isn't going to make a difference. Jazz have to make sure they don't sign bad contracts just to get some vets. Giving up two picks for one is dumb unless we are getting the number one pick and that isn't going to happen. Many people were for doing the exact same thing when we traded up to draft Trey Burke instead of just staying put and picking Giannas and Rudy. There is depth in this draft so we have a chance to get two important pieces. Jazz are not going to be in the lottery next year and they don't have a first round pick I believe. Might be wrong. This is an important draft for the franchise.

He’s not much of a ball handler but he can catch and shoot spot up, shoot on the move and showed as a rookie he can hit shots and stay in front of his man. He doesn’t get a lot of rebounds but that doesn’t mean you’re a bad defender, so weird, and he’s athletic. His ceiling is helping the roster jell and do the little things that help your team win. Every team needs someone like him. We don’t need everyone to have a high usage rate and hold the ball. We are better off having him here.

Seeing how balanced the league is, stars getting older, we are one off-season away from becoming dominant again. I think Ainge sees this, and sees a player in the middle of the lotto that has superstar potential.

I hope we get to here from Ainge and Zanik at some point this week as well.

how many picks do we send to get Luka doncic out of Dallas
AD-level package: 4 picks, 3 swaps, and young player(s) (Lauri?). Admittedly, Luka on this team would be fun, but we'd be giving up way too much to be in a similar situation as the Mavs in terms of roster construction.

We should be looking to draft and develop a Doncic lite instead of giving away everything for him.

Look at the 2018 draft he was in - SGA went 11th.

I want nothing, and I mean nothing, to do with Luka. Black hole who is all about Luka. I'd rather take a chance in the draft. Did I say I want nothing to do with Luka?
I completely get this sentiment. However, he is such a huge talent. If we could get him with the assets we have and hold onto our key players, a core of Luka, Lauri and Kessler is pretty damn strong, there is no doubt. You would have to at least consider the options there.
