2023 NBA Draft Megathread

Listened to this in the background. Might have forgotten some people/put them in the wrong place. Guys they'd consider at

9 - JHS, Black, Hawkins, Cason, Amen if he drops

16 - Brice, Jett, GG, Coulibaly, Rupert, Bufkin

28 - Max Lewis, Dariq (if he's there), Clowney, Sidy

There was a lot of discussion about JHS here. The one guy really likes him....but I think he's turning a major blind to the god awful finishing at the rim this season.

Wemby
Miller
Scoot
Amen
Ausur
Walker
Whitmore
Hendricks

That should be the top 8 - hopefully one of them falls to 9, but if they don’t you have your pick of the next tier of guys.

One of Grady Dick, Cason Wallace or Anthony Black should (hopefully) be the Jazz top rated players at that spot. I’d be really disappointed if JHS, George, NSJ or even Hawkins end up as their top 10 pick.

Would love any of the high upside guys at 16. GG, Coulibaly, Cissoko, Klinkman, etc.

At 28? I just want them to pick their BPA at any spot. Hopefully another high upside guy is available that makes it worth the gamble.

Anyone here listens to Locked NBA big board?

Locke had him saying the catch phrase “thanks for making the Locked on NBA big board your first listen of the day”

*facepalm*

9th is like the worst place to be.

Black can’t shoot.
Cason undersized
Dick low ceiling

I just hope we can trade up.

BTW their latest episode had this guy from Mavs Draft on and he had Utah picking GG with the 9th pick.

I’m much more excited for that than Black, Wallace or Dick if I’m completely honest.

For those saying that’s too high, well do you honestly think he’ll last til the 16th pick?

I’m hoping someone in the top 8 gets enamored with one or two of those lower tier guys and someone like Walker, Whitmore or Hendricks is available at #9.

So one thing to note... I listened to these guys a bunch really early. They are BIG JHS fans. Been on him early and a lot of it is from HS stuff... so it could be insightful or it could be them just planting a flag on a guy.

I actually like his high pick and roll decision making. Think he’d be a decent fit for what the Jazz like to do. . . but I just don’t see the athleticism for a top 10 pick. I wouldn’t hate getting JHS in this draft, but it would feel underwhelming to me.

I haven't watched a ton. The idea of him is okay. I get worried about shooters that don't seem to make as many shots as they should. He's my least favorite of that group of guys personally. But there are things to like and I'm only a youtube draft analyst mostly.
