I hope he goes in the 10-15 range or the 17-27 range.

He is not high on who I would want for the Jazz too, but someone will probably take him with all the hype he had to start the season.

I think most people are fine with Black or Wallace at 9. I'm good with either. I would not trade up for either though.. if they both go top 8 it means 2 of Walker/Hendricks/Ausar/Whitmore? are there. If Black or Wallace go top 8 then 1 of those guys I listed is likely available.

I think we just let the draft come to us... someone will slide a spot or 2 hopefully.

Dick could also bump someone down to 9 as well.

I have no read on NSJ. He was considered an elite HS player, but none of his physical tools are considered elite at the NBA level. When I watched him I saw some "it" factor but he's very dime a dozen imo. I would be pretty surprised if he went ahead of Whitehead (just to compare high ranked HS prospects with injury plagued freshman season)

He's somewhere in the Bouknight, Poole, Clarkson player type for me... and its just not something I'd prioritize in the draft.

GG has some fans... I think Barlowe is hyping him as a top 5 guy. Would love to see him go top 8.

I really like both, and think they both might have a chance to be really good. They are both great defenders, I think Cason is better than Black, but Black is probably capable of defending more positions.

Cason projects to be at least an average offensive player, who you have to at least guard. I personally think he could be even better than that. Black potentially is a guy who you can't play because his offense is so bad, although I think he'll figure it out.

Your continued bewilderment on people liking Cason is particularly amusing as you have admitted to only watching one game of his. I invite you to compare his NCAA performances vs anyone else in the draft not named Jordan Hawkins.

I’d be happy with either one too. Just have to say that I love watching Wallace play defense. He’s really something else and is one of those guys that can just straight up disrespectfully rip the ball away from guys for steals, which is one of the coolest plays in basketball to me.

After years of no one playing defense on the perimeter, it would just be nice to get someone who is elite in this area even if we have to pair them with a shooter.

Do people hate Anthony Black? I know people question his shooting, but beyond that fair concern I haven't really seen anyone hate him at #9.

I mean three guys were just asked who they would want at 9 and not a single one mentioned Black.

Whether we like it or not, I do think Nick Smith Jr. is in play at both #9 and #16. It's hard to get a read on him. He is super quick and I like his off ball activity. He does pass the eye test in some ways because I think he's very difficult to stay in front off.....but what's up with his floater? Everyone says he has an elite floater, which combined with his zippiness feels like an unstoppable combo. But he was just 33% in the mid range, not great Bob. His overreliance on the floater is why he doesn't get to the rim much, doesn't get to the line much, and this leaves him as a very inefficient scorer. If the floater goes in you might have a 20+ scorer in the NBA, but without many skills outside of scoring you're looking at a Poole/Simons type.

I think Keyonte is just the better prospect. I like that the skill he leans on is his off the dribble three and not a floater, even though they could both stand to go in more. He's not nearly as quick, but a lot more physical and this makes him better on defense and at getting to the line. I also think Keyonte is a more promising passer. Just have a much easier time seeing Keyonte as both a two way player and a lead guard.

Black would be in my top 10 list for the Jazz, but I think someone higher on my list will be available to us. I wouldn't say being in anyone's top 10 is hating on him.
