top three or bust in this draft. heck i even hesitate to include scoot. imo, it was decided a year ago that Scoot was all that, but i'm not convinced his play on the court or his size warrant this idea that he's a can't miss guy. short guys who can't shoot have a VERY hard time becoming impact superstars in the league.
I'd wait until the 5-on-5's to brag about this.

He may not be the best prospect at #28 but he's one I'd draft for sure. At a certain point in the draft you worry less about what a guy can't do and think more about what they do at an NBA level. He will be a really good defender. His offense is really bad... like really bad. You might be able to tell him to be PJ Tucker and just chill in the corner... and when the ball swings to you shoot it... and you might be able to get him on the court.

He's like Vanderbilt, but a wing and a legitimately great defender. He's has Vando's hustle and motor, but can lock people up consistently. He does need to be able to knock that corner three down though, and it remains to be seen whether he can do that. combination of elite length and athleticism means the defense should absolutely translate.

I watched him enough to believe in the defense. He gets after it there. The offense is real bad doe.
Ehh. Better draft position is always better. Can always trade back from up there.

absolutely - nobody is turning down the higher slot.
and i'd trade back from 4 in a second.
Concerns I still have about players in the top 10:
- Amen Thompson -- He needs some ability to score outside 15 feet or his defender will drop deep in the paint. This could be make-or-break for him, imo.
- Anthony Black -- I'm not excited about a lead guard with no shooting/scoring gravity. Teams are going to sag way off, or just not guard him at all.
- Brandon Miller -- I still don't think he'll separate from NBA defenders, but can work in an MPJ spot-up shooter role.
- Cam Whitmore -- Needs to play with his head up and pass the ball sometimes.
- Cason Wallace -- If he's going to be the smallest guy on the floor, he needs to be special offensively to be a top-10 pick, imo. Other guys can give you perimeter defense (e.g., Sidy, Rayan, etc.)
- Gradey Dick -- Just his defense. He's not going to be the best athlete on the floor. He needs some strength, toughness and guile.
- Taylor Hendricks -- I'm not excited about a wing who can't dribble in the top 10. If he can be a bonafide play-finishing big it's less of an issue, but otherwise he's probably a complementary, floor-spacing player. I also don't see much in-between game.
