Trade up? What are you willing to give up?

Not actually trading up, but trading down with the last pick. How about trading the 28th to Charlotte for the 34th and 41st picks? We could still get 2 guys like Brandin Podz, Tristan Vukcevic, Amari Bailey, Jalen Wilson, Julian Strawther, Jaime Jaquez Jr, Ben Sheppard, Emoni Bates, and Olivier-Max Prosper.

Normally I would be down but we don’t need 4 rookies going into next season.

Just thinking if we can trade up and go after Portlands 3rd pick and then take Scoot with that 3rd pick and then trade up Orlando´s 6th pick too on the same time. And then get front court player like Jarace Walker, Cam Whitmore, Taylor Hendricks or Ausar Thompson with that 6th pick. Getting Scoot probably will mean that we have to go to find 3 team trade with Portland and someother team (Philadelpia for example with Embiid, some other team?) and that would cost us probably somewhere minimum 3-5 first rounders depended of situation. And as some other experts/commentators has suggested, the another idea is to get the 6th pick from Orlando too, which would probably mean that Utah gets some good frountcourt player with that 6th pick from this years draft. That 6th pick probably could be acquired by giving Orlando Utah's 9th, 16th and 28 pick from this years draft. So what i am basically suggesting is that Utah gives all its extra first rounders in next 5 years (6-8) what we acquired in previous trades with Minnesota, Cleveland and Lakers to get up in this years draft to positions 3 and 6. And then we just draft Scoot and one frount court player with those picks. That would mean that Utah's future starting line up would be something like: Walker Kessler, Lauri Markkanen, 6 pick forward from this draft, Ochie/Clarkson, Scoot Hendersson + Olynyk, Dunn, THT, others (if not traded in the process), That would also mean that because we would have so many players in rookie scale salary in our roster in next few years we could still be very active in free agent market to acquire more needed talent +we still have about all our own first and second round picks in next 5 years too. I think that this might be a good solid move to Utah, which would give them a young and talented team to build up next 5-10 years. Any thoughs?

I'd think long and hard about Lauri for #2. Hard pass on #3. IMO you better really like Brandon Miller or T. Hendricks to aggressively move up for #3 - we'll get a very good player at #9 as it stands.
We need Markkanen if we want to be serious contenders. Unless Scoot is Steph Curry type of transcendent pg, pg’s usually don’t put you over the top, they just make you a really good regular season team as the main star.
Here’s a question what is the lowest you’d go to move up with 9/16?

Would you do it for 7 or would the minimum be 6?

What about all 3? Would you do that for 6 or would the minimum be 5?
I’d do it for top 3, the twins possibly Whitmore and Walker that’s it and Walker and Whitmore is pushing it.

You aren’t getting a top-3 pick with 9/16/28.

I bet every gm in the league would trade all those picks and not the Finnisher or most of them with the Finnisher to land Wemby , and SAS would say gfys
That wasn't the propsed trade though silly. It was all those picks AND the finnisher.

It's an interesting thought, but not very likely I'm afraid.

The question was literally how low of a pick would you take for 9/16/28 and you said top-3. Try to keep up please.
The thing is #28 doesn't move the needle a lot. I think any deal you could do for 9 and 16 you could get done without 28.

9 and 16 for 6 is probably the tipping point for us imo and I think the Magic might be interested but could also see them passing.

all picks and the finnisher is not enough to get SAS to trade Wemby buddy
cool. I wouldn't trade all picks and finnisher for wemby anyway. Wouldn't trade all picks and finnisher for anyone currently in the nba either. Not giannis, luka, jokic, tatum, embiid, etc. and i value those guys more than wemby.

I would not trade all those picks if I thought they were going to be more than role players taken mid to late first, but I think that is exactly what they will be. Now you know the Finnisher is the prize outgoing, and tough to offer. But there is absolutely little chance SAS would value those picsk even with MIP with one season, hell really one half season of greatness, over the promise of a potential MVP.
They would get offers with more player values heading to them that would be more intriguing than a bunch of picks with no knowledge of where each pick would be at anyway.
