JHS just creates such great balance off the dribble.
he was injured for most of sec play.I'm so on/off with Cason. I think he might just be a bit too small (dont attack me) for his skill-set given his lack of on-ball burst, lack of natural PG feel, lack of handle. Kind of the same thing as Davion Mitchell, but not to that degree.
Then there is the fact that he shot 40/24 from the field on 10.6/4.2 attempts per game while averaging 11.2 ppg in SEC play.
He was healthy enough to play and he still had the occasional good game. I'm sure he was hampered, but he still shot terribly. I don't think him being a good NBA shooter is written in stone is all I'm saying.he was injured for most of sec play.
and once again, you basically described Jrue. if healthy and if he meets his potential, that is who he can be. basically a career 16 and 6 guy and a world class defender. and what's impressive is i bet you didn't do that intentionally. even when one isn't trying, Jrue is the comp. With Cason you hope between the injury and Kentucky guard thing he has a glow up on offense similar to Maxey. Maxey was a pretty meh offensive guy... you could see he was fast as hell... but he's far exceeded expectations thus far. Say Cason is an efficient 15/7 guy on offense and world class defender... that's fantastic to have. I think he has a pretty clear path to get there.
i agree, i just don't think he's a lead guard. if you draft him as a sg, i'm good with that. if he's supposed to be the pg (and we all want one out of this draft for the jazz) not sure i'm on board with that. maybe he could be a combo of sorts. i just don't think his skillset is as a full time pg. and maybe i'm wrong. just never played the point full time at michigan and last year (so it makes me skeptical) and they could have used him as mcdaniel wasn't that good. otherwise we're still in lockstep as i'm liking him more and more as well the closer we get - though i really liked him a lot during the season too.I’ve been high on Bufkin but I’m getting more bullish the closer we get to the draft
David Locke has discovered Kobe Bufkin and is pushing a debate between Cason Wallace and Kobe Bufkin at #9. He thinks the Wizards are definitely taking a PG at #8.

Bufkin is gonna go high. Teams are gonna be worried about missing out on the next SGA
I think Wallace will be too small if switched onto a wing but Black won’t be…It’s very much a brainer but both guys will be excellent defenders.
i agree. watching him shoot in those videos, as a fan of black it actually makes me sort of discouraged about his shooting.About Black's shot going in in workouts... I've seen some of that footage... I'm a bit queasy about his shot. To me it looks very robotic and deliberate in those workouts. I'm not sure it will translate in-game. Good to see he's worked on it, but I'm still not a believer in it. It doesn't look natural to me, even when he hits it in those workouts.

cason is definitely a plus athlete, bordering on elite. 38" vert is impressive. and his length at 6'9" ws is excellent for a PG - better even than his most similar comp in Jrue.Don’t you think Cason’s lack of size and/or elite athleticism could limit his ceiling and projection?
like the boozer twins.Taylor Hendricks has a twin brother who redshirted at UCF but is only 6'5.
I would be livid
