LeBron could easily request a trade. He can leave next off-season anyways. Maybe the Lakers want to do a soft rebuild around AD.

Dallas has the contracts to make it work. We could take on 10 and a contract to save the Lakers a ton of money. They probably would love their 2027 1st back in this scenario. Maybe we trade 28 + 2027 Lakers 1st for 10 + 17 + Bertans?

I don’t think it happens but it’s the off-season so it’s fine to talk about.

I've always been a pro-Lebron guy for reasons I don't care to litigate... but I'm pretty sick of this stuff. The retirement thing was clearly a deflection from the fact he was swept... it changed the narrative (its smart but fake) and between that and this little tidbit this is guys sending their teams a message. Lebron saying improve or I force my way out... Ky saying pay me the max... I can bring Lebron or I can team up with him elsewhere.

I would not doubt that its possible this happens but its just so annoying this stuff obviously gets leaked and then no one wants to talk about the good basketball game that happened.

For what its worth at summer league there were some low level Hawks FO people sitting with me and they were very chatty. I think the organization is still really high on Okongwu. Take that for what it is as the chattiest guy was real "meh" on Griffin and he had a decent rookie year.

I think if you draft Jarace Walker, the plan should be to play him in a role like Al Horford. He's a face-up big who plays out on the floor, moves the ball and makes enough of his shots. Another example might be Markieff Morris.

I think Bufkin should be good enough to be a starting lead guard. I don't think he's a 6th man type. Nick Smith Jr. might be a 6th man type because he has yet to show he does anything at a high level.

The Jazz drafted Dante Exum at #5, and Exum had shown less than Bilal. That actually might have worked out for the Jazz if Exum wasn't perpetually injured.

Wallace has a real chance to fall to #16, imo. Only a limited number of teams want a point guard, and some of them might rate Bufkin, George or Hood-Schifino higher.

I like Plan A, but I think the Jazz should be even more aggressive than that. This year and ‘27 are both great years for the Jazz in terms of assets. Now would be a great draft to use some. Protect what you can, and then go get the players you want the most.

I’d LOVE to see the Jazz move up for Cam Whitmore and then follow that up by moving up from both 16 and 28 to get two other high upside players that aren’t projected to last that far. Quality and quantity.

I'm starting to think Cam Whitmore will go at #4 or #5, and the Jazz won't have a chance to get him. Then the question will be whether it's worth still trading up to #6 for Jarace Walker, or if the Jazz are better off staying at #9. It obviously depends on how high the Jazz are on Walker.
