Ok, what elite scorers in today's game aren't threats in the midrange? Not necessarily high volume, but they are capable and willing to take midrange shots if they are given them?

Zion is the only one that comes to mind and he can't even sustain his style of play as is

Cam will be able to take midrange shots at a below average nba level. Its not like he is incapable of it. Ant Edwards is another dude who takes like 20-25% of his shots in the midrange and every time he does the defense rejoices.

If you are drafting Cam to score 25+ ppg you are likely going to be disappointed. I think he can get to 20 ppg without much in the midrange and be a great two way player. That should be the appeal with him. If he does more then awesome.

Even with the 28th pick, there's still going to be a lot of good players available. I prefer to trade it and to move up with 16 or just trade it for a 2024 1st rd pick. But if the Jazz decides to keep it, there are good players to use it on.

Players that I like are GG, Brandin Podz (might be gone by then), OMP, Amari Bailey, Bobi Klintman (might be gone by then), Jaime Jaquez, Jalen Wilson, Julian Strawther, Emoni Bates, Sidy Cissoko, Ben Sheppard (I have a feeling it'll be him at 28 if Jazz keep the pick), Trayce Jackson-Davis, Marcus Sasser and more. There's a high chance 28th will be traded due to a lot good players still available by then and teams will be willing to give up future 1st for it.

I really like a bunch of the dudes projected in/after that range. Sidy Cissoko is the one with zero buzz that could all of a sudden be there. Jaime Jaquez, Colby Jones, hell even GG at 28 is something I could get behind. Max Lewis, Noah Clowney, and Sensabaugh all have an outside shot at being there.

You are being facetious.

Not really. i mean 3-5 shots a game according to your data, and no one makes 100% of those shots right?, so lets say they shoot 50% on those 3-5 shots so they make like 2 of them which equals 4 points per game. Then lets say you are a poor mid range shooter (cam) but you still take 3-5 mid range shots. Since you aren't as good at them you only make 1 of them for 2 points per game.

Im just not seeing that as a huge deal according to the data you provided. Would what I typed be wrong?

Also, he is 18 years old and being compared to all stars in the nba lol. Im not sure that every all star in the nba was a great mid range shooter in college but if i had to guess i would say not all of them were and some might have even improved as they aged.
